About this Cook
I'm a SAHM who is learning to balance two kids and a husband who works rotating shifts.
My cooking tragedies
The most memorable tragedy comes from my first year of marriage. I made a baked chicken dish and when we cut into the chicken it was raw. I put it all back in the oven and baked it longer. It was still raw. We ended up having pizza after three attempts at cooking the chicken through. My husband still likes to tease me about that one.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes
Yummy!! Thanks for making my first dish of homemade Au Gratin potatoes a huge success.

Slow Cooker Ham
Fast and easy. This recipe is as basic as it gets. (I added pineapple juice as my slow cooker tends to burn things when there is not enough liquid.) My roast was moist, but I was missing flavor in the meat beyond the outer layer even after rotating this during the cook time. Next time I will try piercing the roast before cooking to allow more flavor in.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits
Great recipe. Next time I will add a bit more cheese (I love cheese) and make the biscuits smaller so they cook a bit more in the center.
