Homemade Shake and Bake Mixture

This was amazing! Tasted even better than the boxed stuff. I had to substitute onion powder because I didn't have minced onion and it was still very good. Hubby loved it too! l

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
This was a wonderful soup. My husband, who is not a big soup eater, ate three bowls. The flavours meld together so well, it was quite delicious. I was worried about the amount of dill, but it was just right. I will definitely make this again.

Bauernomlett (Farmer's Omelet)

I made this for a quick dinner after work last night. We like having breakfast for dinner. This was good and hearty, sort of comfort food. I doubled the recipe since my husband is a big eater. We finished it all!

Southern Baked Yellow Squash

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
This was absolutely delicious! My husband and I both gave it 5 stars. I did use cracker crumbs because that is what I had available, but otherwise, I followed the recipe as written. I liked it because you can taste the summer freshness of the squash. It isn't masked by cheese, sour cream, soup, etc. I will definitely make this again! YUM!

Pittsburgh Steeler Super Bowl® Sampler

This was yummy! My husband ate 3 helpings. It made enough to have supper for 2 days. The only problem is the name. I am a born & raised Clevelander and a diehard Browns fan. :)

Southern Sweet Potato Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
Being from the Midwest, I grew u having pumpkin pie for holiday deserts. This year I wanted to make a sweet potato pie for my Southern family members for the first time ever. Everyone loved it. I did add a smidgeon of vanilla because I like vanilla, other than that, I followed the recipe. I will definitely make this again.

Sweet and Sour Chicken I

Very good. The only change I made was to add the baking powder & salt since I did not have any self-rising flour. It was alot of work, but worth it.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Excellent cookies! Perfect combination of my 3 favourite cookies. The only problem was that the recipe doesn't make enough cookies to make it through the evening!

Chicken Marsala with Portobello Mushrooms

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
I made this just as listed except I did not have any browning liquid so I used a dash of Worcestershire sauce. The chicken tasted like it came from a restaurant. Very good.

Flavorful Flounder

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
I made the recipe just for myself so I calculated the ingredients thusly. I also did not have access to a grill so I baked it for about 15 minutes. The only changes I made was I used a mahi mahi steak and I added some crumbs on top since I baked it. With a baked potato, I felt like I was in a nice restaurant.
