The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2013
Loved it! Made it in my Kitchenaide mixer and loved that I didn't have to sift or separate ingredients into two different bowls! Just creamed butter and sugar, then eggs one ata time while on low, then one cup of flour at a time, while adding the salt and baking powder in with 2nd and 3rd cups. Dough works great chilled and with the confectioners sugar instead of flour. Great trick I'll use again. Thanks so much for the recipe which will now be our "family Christmas Cookie Recipe"!

Zucchini Corn Fritters

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2013
LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!! I was lazy and used a Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix in place of the dry ingredients, and 3 eggs. I forgot the Cumin and cheese, and even without it my kids, husband, and neighbor kids ALL DEVOURED THEM!! Thank you so much for this keeper!!

Thai Pork Satay

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2013
We loved this recipe- it is very similar to a peanut chicken I do in a pan, served with rice or pasta (sons fav. is mini Farfale), anyhow I did add white vinegar to this, as it is in my other recipe, and it was a hit!!The pork was nice and tender, and we just used thick, cut up pork chop, AND were only able to marinate for about a hour and a half! Thank you for this great recipe!

Sensational Sirloin Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2013
well- let me just tell you...I made this marinade only about two hours prior to dinner, so I worried that they would not be very flavorful, but oh was I wrong! The only change I made was I added about 3 fresh cloves minced garlic, and because of the basting at the end, the flavor was amazing! PLUS- I was so surprised how tender these pieces of not very expensive steak became on the grill with this marinade! It was a real favorite! Thank you so much for the recipe!

Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2013
omgOOOOODDDNESSS! I made this for a dinner I hosted for my neighbors, and I was SO pleased with the flavor!! The only thing I changed, was I added fresh minced garlic to the marinade-and, Oh yes I was out of lime juice so I used lemon. AND- I was only able to marinate for about 1-2 hours, but the flavor was sensational! My new favorite grilled shrimp!! Thank you for this recipe!!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
oh my.....suuuupergood! I didn't have Onion soup mix, so I used a couple TBSP minced onion, a beef boullion cube, celery seed, and Garlic and seasoned salt, and of course lots of black pepper (because we like alot of pepper). I also threw in carrots and a chopped onion- again, b/c they are a family favorite. I was able to get it done in 5 hrs. on high the whole time for a 4.75lb roast.

Chocolate Mint Sugar Cookie Drops

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2012
My kids and I made this as written, and the finished product is delicious! They are easier to handle when chilled, that's for sure. We used a 2 Tbs. scoop to drop them onto the sheets, instead of rolling them, and just had to manage some escape chips a bit. Very tasty, I don't miss the butter at all.

This was FABULOUS! Even my youngest who doesn't like any pasta other than spaghetti ate this..(and I didn;'t have fettuccini or linguini so I used farfarle bowties). I also sub'd evaporated milk for cream, for less fat and we didn;t miss it .

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
4 out of 5 people in our house loved these. My 6 yr old son complained that they are "too sweet".....but he also loved my chili, which was heavily laden with beans and veggis, which he usually avoids like the plague. SO maybe it was opposite day for him.
