Jbird's Authentic Sweet Vinegar BBQ Sauce
Great vinegar based recipe! I've made it about 4-5 times now. Thia last time, I changed up the recipe a bit and added burbon and brown sugar, and slightly decreased the amount of peppers and salt. The original recipe has a heavy kick (clears your sinuses!), but with the brown sugar, it wasn't quite as spicy. I use it to poor over shredded pork butt that I cook in the crockpot all day. Thanks Jbird! Great recipe!

Absolute Mexican Cornbread
This cornbread was DELICIOUS! We ate it with the slow cooker chicken tortilla soup and it made the whole meal even more wonderful! I followed the advice to reduce the sugar and butter, and next time I will reduce the butter even more (to about 1/3 cup). It really doesn't need much butter, it stays very moist with the creamed corn. Best of all, it was very easy to make, so I wasn't slaving in the kitchen while my guests were here.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup
This recipe was a hit in our family! Many copies were requested. The only changes I made were that I followed the advice to put in raw chicken (mine was even partially frozen) and cook it on low for about 4 hours. I then took it out and shredded the chicken which made the chicken very tender and fall right apart. Also, I added hot sauce (as a good Southern girl should!) which gave it a good kick. I also used all chicken broth in place of the water. Try it with Mexican cornbread! MMM!!!!!!!!
