All-Purpose Rub

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
This was really good, a true all purpose rub. I used it on pork chops and chicken so far successfully. I will put in some cayenne and garlic powder next time as I thought it was missing that hint of kick. Very good recipe overall though.

Paleo Omelet Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
I followed the recipe exactly, and they came out great. My son loves eggs, and this is another exciting way for me to give him eggs in the lunch box. I some times add bacon or sausage instead of ham, only because thats what I have on hand that day. I also experimented with other veggies and it seemed to work every time. Thanks for a great recipe.

Tornado Twist

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
My kids love this.I made it cran-raspberry juice the first time, and it was a little tart for my son. so, I just make it with whatever cranberry juice flavor I feel like when I go to the store. It is very refreshing and very easy. Thanks for a great recipe.

5-Minute Microwave Nutella® Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
This is a very very good recipe. Very forgiving, when it comes to the amounts of ingredients as well. Since I make this with my almost 6 year old son, it is hard to get the exact measurements. He generously dumps the nutella, and it still tastes great. We bake it in individual ramekins, just to avoid fights over who gets the last bite. Thank you for an awesome easy recipe.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
I do not eat beef, so I cannot personally speak to the taste of this marinade. My husband though, practically drools if I mention I making this marinade. He grills his steak medium rare, and says this is the best steak he ever had. If a recipe scores me brownie points with husband, its a hit in my opinion :).

Cinnamon-Roasted Almonds

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
This is a staple in our house during the cold months. This is the most requested snack in the family for christmas day while the kids are playing around with their new toys. I love the ease of making these nuts. I forgot them in the oven once for 15 minutes more than it should be, they still didnt taste over roasted or burnt. Exceptional recipe.

Five Minute Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
I know this recipe does not need any more rave reviews than it already has :). This was outstanding!! My husband and son actually prefer this over the store bought icecream. In summer I make this with variety of different berries (trust me, just done try blackberries..lol). thank you for a great recipe.

Olive Cheese Melts

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
This was a big hit with the family. The first time I made exactly as the recipe, and though everyone loved it, my husband felt like there was something missing. Next time, I added a little bit of chili powder and used mexican cheese blend instead of plain cheddar cheese. The results were outstanding, though it could be just a family preference. I see serving this on many other types of breads, I will try that out and write a review. Thank you for a great recipe.

Slow Cooker Carnitas

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
This was very easy to put together. I doubled the spices for 3-4 pounds roast. But I still felt like it was a little on the bland side. The left overs reheated very well and were still juicy. Thank you for a great recipe.

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
I love this recipe. It is easy, fast and can be done on the stovetop. Cant get better than that for me. And I love the fact that I can double or triple the recipe and doesnt have to change any measurements. It comes out perfect. This year I had way too many apples from our apple picking adventure, so I made six jars of this applesauce and canned it. I used all kinds of apples, even mixed a few varities for one batch. It still came out good. So far we ate two jars and it seems to can well. Thank you for a wonderful recipe.

Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
I never made apple cake before, so I researched many recipes before deciding on this one. First time I made it, I followed the recipe exactly. It was way too sweet for our taste and a little on the oily side. But I think that is a personal preference. Next time, I used one cup of sugar and half a cup of brown sugar. And used only half a cup of oil. It was perfect. I had to bake a little longer because my oven tends to be on the cooler side for the set temperature. I think this cake is more of a muffin texture for me - not a complaint, just an observation, I loved it. I say that because my family likes to eat this for breakfast than dessert. It never stays long enough for me to see how it tastes after a day or two in the fridge. I think next time I will half the recipe and make it in a nine inch round pan. Thank you for an easy and great recipe.

Quinoa Almond Pilaf

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2012
This recipe was really good. I did not use celery because I dont liek "cooked" celery. But other than that I followed the recipe and it turned out really good. I served this as main dish with some side salad and it was gone in minutes. Thank you.

Spaghetti Sauce with Ground Beef

This is an awesome recipe. I follow the recipe exactly. I always make big batch of this sauce and freeze it for those hectic weekdays. I use this mostly on spaghetti and serve it with gralic bread. I also used it in lasagna several times and it turned out great. Thank you for a great recipe.

Hush Puppies II

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
These were really good. I would say they are more of "corn fritters" than "hush puppies". I followed the recipe exaclty and have no complaints about taste or texture. Thank you.

Vicki's Hush Puppies

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
These were really really good. They were restaurant quality. I followed the recipe exactly. Though I mixed it well, it turned out to be a little dry so I used a splash of milk to make it workable. I served them with fried fish and my family raved about it. Thank you.

Veggie Skewers

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
This recipe was awesome. I loved the flavor of the marinade. My family could not get enough. The only thing I did different is not using the mushrooms (I have a picky eater in my family). Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out very tasty. Thank you for a great recipe.

Chicken Fiesta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
I was really skeptical about this recipe when I first read it. But I am glad I tried it anyway. My family just gobbled up and it was gone in 10 minutes. I followed the recipe exactly, it did not need any other salad dressing like others mentioned. Thank you for a wonderful recipe.

I followed the recipe exactly. The chicken turned out very juicy and yummy. I also use the honey mustard sauce separately as a dipping sauce or salad dressing. It is very good. Thank you for a great recipe.

Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
I followed the recipe as written and the pork was very tender and flavorful. It was very easy to make. The only thing I would do differently next time is to reduce the vinegar since we felt it is a tad bit vinegary for our taste. Thank you for a wonderful recipe.
