About this Cook
I live in Virginia with my husband and son. I am a voracious reader and like to take long walks. I was introduced to cooking by my grandmother and it became a passion since then. I started cooking since I was 13 and never looked back.
My favorite things to cook
I am all for quick to make recipes, with common ingredients. I like to try out challenging recipes to test my culinary skills. I like to cook spicy dishes for my family (they are all big fans of spicy food).
My favorite family cooking traditions
I frequently make Hyderabadi Biryani for my family and we like to enjoy it over our favorite movies. My step daughter and mother in law come over for dinner on saturdays and we like to cook huge family dinner with various requests from every family member.
My cooking triumphs
I am "bake challenged" as my friends call me. But this year I made a pineapple cake for my step daughter's birthday. Everyone raved about it and I already have requests for that cake for every birthday.
My cooking tragedies
One day I decided I want to make chocolate cake from scratch. Well, that day I knew I had a tremendous talent to make a chocolate cake that tastes so bad, you never want to eat chocolate anymore.

Paleo Omelet Muffins
I followed the recipe exactly, and they came out great. My son loves eggs, and this is another exciting way for me to give him eggs in the lunch box. I some times add bacon or sausage instead of ham, only because thats what I have on hand that day. I also experimented with other veggies and it seemed to work every time. Thanks for a great recipe.

Tornado Twist
My kids love this.I made it cran-raspberry juice the first time, and it was a little tart for my son. so, I just make it with whatever cranberry juice flavor I feel like when I go to the store. It is very refreshing and very easy. Thanks for a great recipe.

5-Minute Microwave Nutella(R) Cake
This is a very very good recipe. Very forgiving, when it comes to the amounts of ingredients as well. Since I make this with my almost 6 year old son, it is hard to get the exact measurements. He generously dumps the nutella, and it still tastes great. We bake it in individual ramekins, just to avoid fights over who gets the last bite. Thank you for an awesome easy recipe.
