About this Cook
Used to live in a tiny apartment since we bought a new home with a big kitchen I started watching Food Network and discovered I loved cooking manipulating recipes and making them my own now I am trying my hand at baking very time consuming and more exact than what I am used to but I am trying it
My favorite things to cook
anything savory
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother used to cook Big Thanksgiving and Christmas meals and I loved helping her and I have brought some of those traditional things she made at Thanksgiving to my husbands holiday meals
My cooking triumphs
Made bread for the first time this year (2013) for Thanksgiving
My cooking tragedies
The first meal I made for my husband was chili and i added turkey meat to it without realizing how salty turkey can get if cooked too long it was horrible and hubby ate it but I could not :) Thirteen years later we are still together and he LOVES my cooking

The Perfect Cream Cheese Pie Crust
I screwed up and left this chilling overnight and it turned rock hard. However I thought on it and read over the reviews and I took some half and half and some powdered sugar to be able to roll it out. Used wax paper because it was a little sticky it tastes fabulous and works well with the pumpkin, cherry and pecan pies I am making for thanksgiving always make one for now and freeze the ones to take to thanksgiving

Perfect White Bread
just made three loaves of this bread I had to have a meltdown in the middle of baking because my mother in law was supposed to show me this year how to make her bread but she died on me so and after all that it turned out great took about 5 minutes less cooking time but turned out fabulous

Coconut Cream Pie VI
