My kids liked this cookie, but I prefer eating either pumpkin bread or chocolate chip cookies. I thought that the flavor combination was strange. I also was not used to a cookie being cakey. The texture reminded me of the ricotta cookies I made before. I agree with other reviewers that the amount of chocolate chips should be decreased. I made this with 1/2 C white sugar, 1/2 C brown sugar. I also used 1 C white flour and 1 C whole wheat flour. I used 1.5 t cinnamon, 1/2 t nutmeg, 1/8 t clove, and 1/8 t ground ginger.
