Butterhorn Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2011
No changes needed. Crowd pleaser! Note: to cut down on salt I use salt free butter for shortening. Also makes them taste more buttery. Has become the requested "dish" that I bring to holiday gatherings.

Megan's Granola

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
Super Easy to make once you locate all your ingredients. Check your local farm markets or health food stores for the oat bran and wheat germ. I found that 1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon was perfect for this recipe after I miss read the amount on the 1st batch. I added mini choc chips to my 2nd batch once completely cool. What a nice bitter sweet treat. If you don't have 2 lg baking sheets 2- 9x13 pans or an 11x17 pan work great as well I just baked for about 25 minutes vs. 20 that the recipe called for. I gave away as Christmas gifts in quart mason jars, also great with ice cream, yogert or just to eat as a snack!

Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
This recipe is wonderful. My dog has always battled a weight issue, so I was looking for a low fat recipe or at least one not calling for lard to be added. Not only does this recipe provide that but it also has pumpkin which provides a natural source of fiber. I omit the salt to reduce the sodium. My dog absolutely loves them!

Cocoa Cola Cake

Very good cake, super moist. No sure if I messed up the frosting or not, it was runny. Once cooled set up okay though. Will make again.

Butterhorn Rolls

Easiest Dough to work with, made for 30 close family members along with a different type of roll for Thanksgiving Dinner. I had none of these left dispite the fact that I made a double-triple batch! However, I had dozens left from other recipe! Will make again!

Sesame Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2011
WONDERFUL recipe, even family members that hate brussel sprouts ate these. Made a double batch when the in-law came over for dinner, also made home grown green beans just in case. Well left over green beans went ot the fridge, not a single sprout. I think thats says it all!!! Easy to make and will make often.

Christmas Onion Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2012
Needed a recipe to replace store bought cream of onion soup (since I didn't have any) for scalloped potato and pork chop casserole. Worked wonderfully! Wasn't sure how to cut onion since recipe didn't state so I just diced them, making it harder for my kids to pick them out of the casserole!

SWIRLED™ Caramel Cranberry Meringue Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
Beautiful dish, but too SWEET. Not a crowd pleaser at Thanksgiving. Next time I will omit the caramel/choc chips from the top to see if that makes it more palatable.

Cranberry Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
This was an attempted dessert for Thanksgiving. The pie sat up very well, however, you couldn't taste the cranberries but you could taste the flour. If I where to try this again I would exchange the flour for appropriate amount of cornstarch. Did not get good reviews from family members either. Not likely to make it again.
