Flavorful Flounder

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
I loved the taste of the topping, but the fish was so mushy I couldn't eat it! I baked it in the oven for about 15 min. at 350, put the topping on and baked it for another 5 minutes. Then I wondered if it wasn't done so I nuked my plate for a minute and half- which didn't help. I would be willing to try again- I just couldn't handle the melt in your mouth mushy texture! Maybe I'll try the topping on a different type of fish!

Creamy Ranch Pork Chops and Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
My son and I didn't care for this - he rated it a 2, I rated it a 3,but my husband really liked it-5, hence the 4 rating. It just didn't do it for me. I made plain rice and both my son and I agreed that the plain buttered rice was the best part of the meal. But, like I said my husband really enjoyed it- he ate the leftovers up today! It was a very easy weeknight meal. I might try it again and tinker with it a bit. Thanks for sharing!

Grilled Zucchini II

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
This was ok, not great, but I'm not a veggie eater, although I'm trying. I used a light Caesar Italian, soaked it for about an hour or so, then grilled it on my George Foreman, then topped it with parmesan, salt and pepper. My son didn't like it, but my husband and I thought it was ok. I'd try it again, only I'd use less dressing, slice it thicker, and, as another reviewer suggested, top with cheese and tomatoes. So overall, it was only ok, but I'd definitely try it again. It certainly has potential!

We just finished eating this and it was really good! Both my husband and I enjoyed it- although my 11 yr. old son didn't care for the sauce. We will definitely make again!

Broccoli and Sausage Cavatelli

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
Got this recipe in my email this week and tried it on the spur of the moment- made it exactly as written except I used spiral pasta, and it was excellent- both my husband and 11 yr. old son really liked it. Will definitely add it to my collection and make again!

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2008
This is a terrific recipe! I made this last week but discovered I was out of pork chops, so I used boneless chicken breasts- my family loved it! Only complaint was not enough potatoes and onions. I made this again last night, with pork chops this time, and increased the amount of potatoes and onions and my family was very happy! This is a quick, easy, delicious recipe and will become a staple in our house! Thanks for sharing!

Pork Tenderloin with Mustard Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2008
I didn't have time to marinate this for 8 hours - so I came home at lunch sliced the meat, put it in a ziplock and marinated it until after I got home after work. I baked the slices, then topped them with the mustard sauce. My husband absolutely raved about this- something he doesn't ordinarily do! He gave it a definite 5 stars, and said I could make it every week! My 10 year old son also loved it although he ate the meat w/o the mustard sauce. I wasn't quite as thrilled with it- I thought it was OK. Not bad, but not fantastic either. I will be making this again- thanks for sharing the recipe.

Amatriciana

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2008
This was an excellent dish! My family really enjoyed it. The only change I made was to use more bacon. I even called a friend and told her to stop by on the way home and taste it because it was so good! She went home with the recipe and a sample for her husband, and she made it! Thanks for sharing!

Creamed Salmon on Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2008
I've made this using dried beef, but never salmon. My family loved it! Super comfort food- but I never realized that canned salmon had so many calories-630 in a single can! Nevertheless-definitely worth it!! I am always looking for different things to try especially during Lent - we will be having this again!
