Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2014
This is a delicious recipe! I did cut back on the sugar by about half (personal preference), but otherwise made exactly as written. I will use this recipe from now on :) thank you

Oatmeal Craisin Cookies

AWESOME! Made as directed except cut recipe in half and had only cherry craisins/mini dark chocolate chips in them. Doubled the vanilla. Making again tonight, different combo of fruit and chocolate--WHOLE recipe lol

Turkey Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2013
Delicious! I made it as directed except like others used broth and water, and tossed in a chicken boullion cube for good measure. Everything else was the same with recipe halved as its just my hubby and I. Very easy, turned out great, will make again thanks!

The Best Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2013
Delicious! I made it exactly as specified but browned the meatballs first and also baked the whole thing for about half an hour at the end. Next time I will probably use half the brown sugar and sub beef broth for the water but I will DEF make this again! Thanks for a yummy one!

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2013
Delicious...I added garlic and used fresh onion chopping both finely. I didn't have sage at all, subbed a dash of herbs de province and parsley, made the sauce but used regular yellow mustard bc its what I had on hand. Thanks for a great recipe!

Mediterranean Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
very good, very lemon-y! I used boneless/skinless breasts cut into bite sized chunks, and instead of Oregano I used Italian Seasoning--didnt have just Oregano. I also added a splash of chicken broth, thinking Id need it to stretch the sauce but next time will leave it out. I made white rice and spinach. Loved by all.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
I made this tonight exactly as written, except I also added a can of corn. It turned out delicious, and was very easy---I had never done the milk/flour/butter deal but it was simple. Next time, I may try some crisp-cooked bacon or canadian bacon instead of the ham. Im adding this to the regular rotation, hubby loved it!

Beef Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
I tripled this recipe (3 teenage boys/husband to feed!) and used chicken breast. I let the chicken cook in the crockpot all day with a little chicken broth, a sm. can of tomato paste and spices. When done, shredded it and added enchilada sauce, some sauteed onion & garlic and more spice, couple shots of hot sauce, salt & pepper. I filled flour tortillas with the mixture and some cheese, rolled & placed on top of some enchilada sauce in pans, then poured more sauce on top. Add cheese, sliced olives and bake (unfortunately the 1 store I went to did not have green onion). My husband raved, this is a delicious recipe and easily tweaked to our tastes. This will be added to the regular rotation---THANKS!!

Eileen's Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
Followed some other reviewers' advice and substituted 1/2 cup of the sour cream with ranch dressing and only used 3/4 cup bread crumbs. Otherwise followed to a T and it was delicious! As someone else suggested, I also used 1/2 cup ketchup + 1/2 cup dark brown sugar and a squirt of yellow mustard to glaze it during the last 15 minutes after foil removal/draning. I have 3 ravenous teenage boys and one famished husband to feed here in this house--they all raved!! Thank you for a delicious meatloaf recipe Eileen! We'll be making this again!

Cake Mix Cookies VI

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
Only had white cake mix in the house, and creamy PB but these came out great. I threw in some PB chips also. I was also baking a lasagna at the time, so my oven temp was just 350. Took 12 minutes and came out light, fluffy and nicely browned on the bottom. I think using a butter pecan type mix, cruncy PB and more PB chips may make these better, I like a stronger PB flavor. Otherwise, delicious fast cookies!

Sweet and Sour Pepper Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2008
This is delicious, I doubled the recipe and added a can of pineapple chunks. Served over jasmine rice, everyone loved it! Will make again, thanks!!! (came back a week later to say I made it with chicken and it was just as yummy, my family loves it!)

Chicken Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
I made this with leftover ham and fresh mushrooms, omitted the peppers but everything else was the same. It was very good, though I thought the sauce a little thick, added a bit more milk and it was yummy. Very rich and satisfying!

BAKER'S Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2007
These are delicious cookies I will be making again! I used mini semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of the chunks and since I didnt have vanilla threw in a little hazelnut syrup. The cookies turn out perfectly shaped, dense and chewy and just plain delicious! Thanks for a wonderful recipe!
