White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
Made this for a Christmas party and everybody loved it! Next time I will make the crust a little bit thicker and make extra raspberry sauce to serve on the side. Easy to make and a definite keeper!

Hot Pizza Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
Yum! I will double the recipe the next time I make it. Not enough to go around... I followed a reviewer's suggestion and went easy on the cheese. I added more pepperoni and bell peppers and olives than the recipe called for and also some cheddar cheese (for color). Next time I will add red pepper flakes and maybe some fresh garlic. I served it with tortilla chips but will also serve with toasted baguette.

This was SO good and SO easy! I added more vanilla and more Grand Marnier!

Orzo with Mushrooms and Walnuts

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2004
Yum! Everybody loved it! And it's so easy to make. I made some minor tweaks: used only one onion, substituted pinenuts for the walnuts and added minced garlic. Next time I'll add chopped parsley and truffle oil.

Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2004
What a breeze to make! I added fresh tomatoes (instead of the can), olives, garlic, chili pepper flakes and more cheese. Next time I will add corn, chopped cilantro and more chips. Definitely serve with the sour cream and green onion. I can't wait to make this again!

Cheryl's Spinach Cheesy Pasta Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2004
Super easy and good! I added some Italian herbs, garlic and parmesan cheese to the mix. Next time I will add some wine to the sauce to liven it up.

Death by Chocolate

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2004
I added vanilla extract to the cake and pudding. Next time I will not make instant pudding but rather the "cook and serve" kind, and also add a little bit more milk. I prefer the pudding slightly runny. Be sure to refrigerate at least overnight. Very easy to make and yummy! 1/28/05 I made this (again!) last night and added Kahlua to the coffee. YUM!!!! Also used the larger package of pudding.

Mocha Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2003
Very easy to make, but I thought it was lacking something... I think that next time I will add melted chocolate or chocolate chips to the mix or more sugar or something. I loved the texture of the cake so much that I'm not going to give up just yet!

Baby Shower Raspberry Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2003
I substituted it with strawberry extract since the raspberry was twice as much. Turned out nicely. I added more sugar (3/4 c) and more extract (2T) and also added about a tablespoon of vanilla extract. People really liked the dip. In addition to the fruit platter, I included angel food cake.

Cheese Dip II

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2002
Added garlic, onion , tabasco sauce and cilantro. Delicious and very addicting! Be sure to use in a crockpot that is slightly bigger than 2qt. or consider preparing the dip on the stove on low heat and then transfering to a preheated small crockpot.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: May 6, 2002
I didn't make the frosting b/c I thought it might be "too much". I also put a dash of instant espresso which was nice and subtle. I will definitely make this one again!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2002
This was a very simple and good recipe but did not think that it tasted very well once refridgerated. The chocolate became very "chalky" and did not taste as good as it did before it was refridgerated.

Roasted Chicken with Risotto and Caramelized Onions

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2001
I've made this recipe twice already and has been delicious every time. I added a little bit of garlic, dried porcini mushrooms and parmesan cheese which gave it that added kick! Delicious!

Giant Ding Dong Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2001
Everyone loved this cake! Very simple. I cheated and used store-bought frosting (took off the foil seal, heated it in the microwave and just poured it on) to save time. It was a little too sweet for my liking and it didn't make a nice "shell" like the real Ding Dongs, so I will follow the recipe next time. This recipe made a lot of the cream filling, so I only used about half of it.

S'more Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2001
I think this recipe has a lot of potential. Next time I will increase the time to bake the brownie only. I think next time I will break the graham crackers smaller than 1". Overall, a VERY simple and good recipe

Caramel Filled Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2001
I cooled the cookies on the cookie sheets for 5+ minutes and continued to cool on a flat surface. There was no problem with caramel "leakage" at all. Very easy to make. Since I only used enough dough to cover the candy, the recipe yielded more than 48 cookies and I liked how the cookie was not that big. A very moist and chocolatey cookie. I used Rolos and Reeses peanut butter cups. I liked the Rolo version better.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2001
Overall, pretty good but not the best I've every had. Too eggy, and not enough cinnamon. Should satisfy the simple palate.
