Mother's Applesauce Cake

This was a great cake! I made it for my son's 1st birthday and I got rave reviews from everyone at the party. I added two chopped apples at the very end before I poured the batter in the pan... it was awesome! I didn't use the icing from the recipe though, I made a cream cheese/heavy cream frosting. It was very light and not too sweet like some people have said about the origional recipe!

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

This was very good, but it was a little grainy from the sugar. I think next time I will replace the sugar for honey. It isn't a frosting that you can pipe, but it's just an easy topping for a quick sheet cake!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

I love this recipe... I get requests almost every weekend from my husband to make these! I half the streusel ingredients because it makes way too much. Otherwise this recipe is perfect!

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Very good, it was a little soggy though. I think I will bake it for about 5mins before I add the toppings to it the next time. It probably only happened because my family loads the toppings on so it just had too much to get done right. My own fault!

Perfect Apple Pie... I did mix the apples with cinnamon, but other than that I followed the recipe to a "T"! A requested Thanksgiving tradition since last year!

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Very good soup... but I did make some changes. I didn't put any beef in it (it was our vegetarian night), so I skipped the onion also. I used two cans of tomato sauce and only one cup of water. I used black beans instead of the kidney beans, and next time I would use two cans of the black beans. If the ground beef would have been in there, we would probably only use one can of the black beans. Very good recipe, I will definitely be making it again!!!!

Double Caramel-Pecan Cheesecake Bars

Absolutely perfect! My husband ate 5 big pieces of this in one day! I followed the recipe exactly, except I used caramel ice cream topping instead of melting the leftover caramels... will definitely make again!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

So yummy with just a few changes... mashed the bananas, used 3 bananas instead of 2, used softened butter instead of melted, and added a streudel crumb topping. Best banana bread I've ever had!!

Chocolate Pretzel Rings

Easy recipe... only thing was that I had to put them in the fridge for over a half hour because the chocolate wasn't firm enough after just 10 minutes. They taste great though!!

Baked Coconut Shrimp

So yummy... not really crunchy like it says in the description, but I got great reviews from everyone who ate them. I used 16-20 ct shrimp, which I think helped to decrease the dryness in the shrimp that some people had a problem with.
