Four-Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
You can make this recipe with just about any fruit in season but it does taste great with the fruits listed. It is a good side, or appetizer but if you put some whipped cream with it it's a great dessert. Perfect for a summer barbeque.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2008
I made this tonight for dinner and it was great. I followed the recipie exactly and didn't have any problems. I suggest preping the ricotta mixture after setting the sauce to simmer and then when the simmering is done you are ready to go. I don't know why people are complaining about too much salt or too much sugar. I think it's perfect. There was more sauce than needed for the lasagna but it turned out to be a great dipping sauce for bread and will be great on spaghetti later this week... The only warning I have for those making this recipie... INVITE LOTS OF FRIENDS! and make sure they're HUNGRY, there is a lot!

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
I made this tonight and I followed the recipe exactly. After I stuck it in the oven I really hoped that my husband would like the dish because it was sooo easy that I would like to make it again. He loved it! And he thinks that this recipe should be renamed, Delicious Pork Chops. I love to find new easy recipes and this one is definately a keeper at our house.

Fresh Tomato Salsa

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
I love this recipe!!! It is wonderful because you know what is going into it and it tastes fabulous! I always make a double batch because it goes so quickly! And I added it up this last time... and it's actually cheaper to make your own than to buy it. LOVE IT!

Spiced Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2008
Well talk about a surprise... When I first pulled this out I was thinking it was not going to be so good. It looked dry and I feared it would not have much flavor. I tried it to check and I was very wrong, it was delicious. I made this just for my husband to take to work for lunch for a couple of days but I ended up eating it for dinner myself. It was great. I only used a three pound roast but I wouldn't reccomend the two hour forty five minute cook time even for the four pound roast. I cooked mine just a little over an hour and it turned out great, it probably could have come out even a couple minutes before that... It was good without the gravy, and it was better with it.

Spicy Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
I give this a five for simplicity and a 3.5 for taste. I had six boneless, skinless, thin sliced chicken breasts. I halved the recipe and had just the right amount of rub. It was a little too cold to grill tonight so I put them in a glass baking dish and baked at 350 for 20 minutes. Keep in mind, my breasts were very thin, yours might need longer, probably 40 minutes for full sized breasts. I put in the full amount of cayenne and felt like it was a decent amount of spice but not too much. If you have a sensitive stomach I would probably do half or 3/4 the amount called for. After baking the chicken I put them on toasted bread with tomato lettuce and mayo for sandwiches. Made the perfect light dinner. I will use this recipe again.

Just like my Grandma's stuffing. This simple recipe is great on its own but can also make wonderful variations with simple additions for personal taste
