Pasta alla Carbonara

I thought this was wonderful and the whole family agreed. Boyfriend had three helpings! I followed the recommendations to add the parsley and red pepper to the egg mixture before adding it to the bacon. This will definitely become one of our regulars!

Best Black Beans

I had been looking for something to serve with Tequila lime chicken and this was it! I doubled the beans, because I never can find a small onion and it was just too over powering with one can. I also added lime juice and omitted the garlic. Delicious!

Asparagus with Pecans and Parm

This was absolutely fantastic! The best asparagus I have ever made! Will definitely make it again. Loved it! I took the shortcut suggested by the original poster, and just cooked the onions and mushrooms together. Next time I will add more than required pecans, because I thought they were a little too subtle. Or maybe I just chopped them too small.

This was amazing! I made a few changes. the first time I rated this I used chicken. This time I used 1 lb shrimp. I added 2t cornstarch to thicken. I saute'd mushrooms and red bell pepper and added it to the sauce. Every one raves!

Bacon Wrapped Chicken

I tried this recipe again. I increased the chicken to 6 breasts and combined cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soup. I added Italian dressing mix to the soup and put extra cream cheese on the chicken. Outstanding!

Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce

This was fantastic! I used an 8 oz package of cream cheese, and substituted white wine for half of the boiling water, as recommended. It came out amazing! My 9 year old even ate the mushrooms! I will definitely make this again. Thanks!

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

I loved this recipe! I added 8 oz sliced fresh mushrooms to the butter before adding the chicken. I followed the reviews and added chicken broth and wondra flour to make a gravy. It was a big hit! I will definitely make this again!

Romantic Chicken with Artichokes and Mushrooms

I tried this recipe with the addition of heavy cream as one of the reviews suggested. I think I preferred it the original way. The artichokes were fantastic! Everyone liked it, and I will definitely make this again.

Asiago Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta

This was really good, except for the sun dried tomatoes. They were really chewy. I have never tried them before, so this was an experiment. The sauce was excellent tho, and I will be making it again without the tomatoes.

Au Gratin Beef Bake

I would have given this 3 stars, but the family loved it. It came out soupier than expected. I covered it per some of the reviews to ensure tender potatoes, and uncovered it for the last 10 minutes. Next time I will do something differently. I added some seasonings and some red pepper flakes, which was a little too spicy. But it was popular so I will be trying it again.

Italian Zucchini Saute

This was very good. I added a little German sausage I'd gotten on a trip to the onions. I also added a yellow sqaush, as I happened to have it on hand. I should have cooked it longer, as the squash were still a little firm, but I really liked turning this into a one dish meal. My boyfriend said he would have preferred it as a side dish without the sausage, but I liked it.

Chocolate Trifle

This recipe was very good, and my daughter loved it, but it was far too rich for me and my boyfriend. But that is just personal taste, the recipe itself is great. Perfect recipe for an eye pleasing, impressive dessert and so easy!

Pan Fried Catfish Filets

I made a few changes, or this would have gotten 5 stars. I used buttermilk instead of milk. I put the dry ingredients into a ziplock bag and shook the catfish around to coat. I deep fried instead of pan fried, for that real southern texture. It was a hit! I used 2 pounds of catfish nuggets and doubled the recipe. Thanks for a great base! Will definitely make again.

Anniversary Chicken I

Easy Apple Crisp

I'm not an experienced baker, and I didn't know butter should be cold and firm. I let it soften and batter came out creamy and doughy instead of crumbly. Next time should be much better. The flavor was good.
