Lemon Poppy Seed Shortbread

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2011
Great delicate, melt-in-your-mouth shortbread. Doubled the lemon juice and halved the poppy seeds per household preference. My Scottish genes are dancing at this, my first attempt at making shortbread. Can't wait to play around with this recipe more! Thanks!

Chris's Incredible Italian Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
By far the best turkey meatloaf I've ever tried! Replaced the onion with grated carrot because we don't like onion, and just used a can of tomato paste to top it. Looking forward to the leftovers and will definitely make again! Thanks for the recipe!

This is just amazing! Wonderful bright flavors, interesting texture, beautiful color...a perfect addition to any table! And I'll never go back to jellied cranberry sauce again! Thank you! * I used 1/2 cup sugar and ground cranberries and orange together in my food processor.

Favorite Old Fashioned Gingerbread

Oh my heavens, this is divine! Doubled spices as some had suggested and mine was done in 45 minutes. Drizzled a light lemon glaze over the cooled cake. Such a great autumn treat!

It's not just fun for preschoolers! My (51yo) partner and I (40yo) had a blast making these whimsical tasty treats for our friends. We added 1 T peanut butter and used pastel Peanut M&Ms for eggs...Perfection! Thanks so much for this simple recipe!

Lemon Cake with Lemon Filling and Lemon Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2010
Oh my goodness this is a wonderful recipe! It's bright, tart lemony goodness was a huge hit with my friends! Thanks for this! I will definitely be making it again. *I used a jar of lemon curd instead of making the filling and substituted lemon extract for the vanilla in the cake.

Trinidad Pelau

This was wonderfully simple and very tasty. I didn't have coconut milk so substituted evaporated milk in which I soaked a tablespoon of unsweetened shredded coconut. I also used kidney beans. A healthy treat we will definitely have again!

Just YUM! Added to 2 cups boiling water, not 3 as I like mine firm. Easy and fabulous! Thanks!

Quite good, easy, and as healthy or unhealthy as you want to make it! I didn't have Ranch dressing so used sour cream instead. Thank you!

Sweet and Sour Drumettes

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
This is soooo crave-able!! The next time I'm 'jonesin' for General Tso's I'm making this low budget goody! I skinned the legs and like others, I added about a tsp of Asian Garlic Sauce to the sauce recipe as well as omitting the water. To the flour for coating I added garlic powder, paprika, and ginger for extra kick. It was so easy with the shake-in-a-bag method. I found that the drumsticks reached 165 degrees internally after 20 minutes in the oven, so keep a good watch on yours! Yum!

Made this for a group of friends who have varying tastes - and they all raved! Thanks for this easy recipe. I didn't have bags so cooked them in a casserole tented with foil - juicy, tender, and wonderful!

Peanut Butter Vegetable Chicken Soup

This was surprisingly good! Used the stock I had made out of a rotisserie chicken. Peanut butter (I used crunchy!) was a great touch.

Quinoa with Sweet Potato and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
Great combination of flavors and use of quinoa but we felt it was lacking something...wanted to have a sauce or something like that over it. Not sure I would make again without coming up with what to add.
