Pickled Daikon Radish and Carrot

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2015
This is very delicious. I made 1/2 batch yesterday to try and when i came home it was all gone! I didn't have cilantro so i used flat leafed parsley, and didn't have the pepper, so i used read pepper flakes. Thank you for this recipe.

Crispy Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2015
The method of baking these wings was so good. They really did come out crispy. I really like the sirachi sauce too, i had alittle sauce left over and used it on some chicken tenders a day or two later. The salt was too much, but i saw that and compensated. Thank you Chef John

Perfect Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2014
this was a very good dish. i baked it like a few reviews did because i didn't want the mess with frying the chicken pieces in the hot oil, and the clean up afterwards of it. i did half the sugar and that was plenty sweet, also i used the whole 1/4 cut of cornstarch, but i think i would only use half of that if i make it again. actually i do plan on making it again as my husband really liked it. thank you Doreen for such a delicious recipe.

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2014
this chili is very delicious and very easy to make. one thing i would mention is to know how much cayenne pepper is right for you. between the cayenne and blk. pepper it was too much for me. i should have compensated for that knowing that the cayenne is very spicy for me. my bad!

Simple Roasted Butternut Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2013
this was a great recipe! my husband ate it too, and he doesn't eat very many vegetables. an easy way to cut and peel the squash is to put it whole in the microwave for a minute, then let it sit in there for at least another minute. another thing i found out was to make sure you peel the squash below the "green lines" on it. you will know what i mean just as soon as you start peeling it you will see them. thank you so much for this wonderful recipe!

Crispy Zucchini or Pumpkin Blossoms

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2012
the blossoms were quite delicious. i would give it a better rating but 2 tbs. was certainly not enough water, i put 4 tbs. and i know i should have put more water because i think they were alittle too bready. but, in fairness i picked the flowers, washed and dried them, then put a damp paper towel around them and put in fridge. i didn't get around to frying them for 3 days so they may have absorbed more batter because of it. but regardless i think they still would have needed twice as much water as the recipe calls for. i really did enjoy them and appreciate having the recipe.

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
this is very good. granddaugher said 5 stars, hubby said it was good, but too many potatoes. i liked it because it was different and was a good way to get fish in our diets. i did listen to other reviewers and used more spice (old bay). will make again.

Pasta e Fagioli II

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
i make this with minced ham and i put the white beans in the blender (husband doesn't like texture of whole beans). also, to keep the pasta from swelling up and taking over the soup, i cook it separately and add to the soup bowls, not in the whole pot of soup. this is a wonderful recipe. thanks for sharing!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: May 7, 2010
i did what some other reviews said and used butter for the shortening. i used 1 tb of butter to about 8 oz of semi sweet chocolate chips to 1 lb of strawberries. i melted the butter in the double boiler first then added the chips. melted this until smooth and still cool. then dipped, washed and very dry strawberries in. this turned out beautiful and tasted great. thank you for the recipe!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
this pot pie is delicious. i made it just like recipe except for the celery seed (do not like it). i had bone-in chicken breast (half the price of the boneless) and cut the meat off the bone. used the bones to make broth to cook chicken and veggies. you could then use that drained broth to make the licquid (saucy) part of the pot pie.
