About this Cook
I am a SAHM of 4 kids and with an awesome husband. I love cardmaking and scrapbooking and I am a Stampin Up Demonstrator. When I am not scrapping I love to try new recipes and quilt.
My favorite things to cook
We LOVE Mexican food and eat gringo mex several times a week. My husband is more of a baker, and I like to help him when he's trying new dessert recipes, especially cheesecakes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mom and I always make homemade candy at Christmas for our family and neighbors. Our kids love Thanksgiving when we all cook together for the big day! It gets crazy in our little kitchen, but we all have a good time.
My cooking triumphs
I am an excellent slow cooker cook. A slow cooker is the BEST during the cold Kansas winter. It makes the house feel and smell so cozy! I was also very impressed with myself when I perfected Cheesecake making!
My cooking tragedies
AHHH! I have had several flopped cheesecakes while learning to make them. I also burned a lot of things the first year I was learning to bake. Other than that, I haven't really had too many cooking disasters.

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini
Very, very good...restaurant quality. I did double the sauce, except for the lemon.

Granny's Swiss Steak
Like another reviewer, I realized I didn't have any tomato juice after I started cooking. Instead I used a can of diced tomatoes. Worked great! I also added shredded carrots. Good recipe!

Vanilla Ice Cream II
We were looking for a recipe that did not take heavy cream. This recipe was rich, creamy and delicious. We halved the recipe to be sure we would like it and although it does not freeze extremely hard, it was great!
