Bread Machine Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
Ive made this twice, both times I added an extra 1.5 teaspoons of garlic powder which gave it a nice but not overwhelming garlic flavor. The first time I followed the rest of the recipe. It was good but very dense! The second time I used 2 cups bread flour and 1 cup all purpose. I was much happier with it, still pretty heavy but the all purpose flour lightened it up just enough for my taste. Great to soak up red sauce or just dip in olive oil.

Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2012
Love these!! Only reason it didnt get 5 starts is because they dont tase like mall pretzels. Followed recipe and they came out great. I make them as little bites and bring them on road trips and they are always a hit with everyone.

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
I am a novice baker so there is a chance I did something wrong, but I wasn't too impressed with these cupcakes. First batch I cooked for 20 min, the recipe says 20-25. They were way over cooked! Next I tried 15, better but still too much. Last few I tried 14, better but still a bit too well done. (Yes I did have them on the middle rack) The batter had tasted great so I was expecting a nice flavorful cupcake. I actually found them to be a bit bland. I will probably try the recipe again and add a bit of salt to help bring out the flavor.

Chocolate Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
AWESOME Cupcakes!! I dont like chocolate cake or really chocolate in general but these are great. They taste like brownies, crispy crust too. 80% of the things I try to cook come out wrong, so this recipe is pretty idiot proof. I followed the recipe except I used margarine and melted it first. Baked for 15min and they came out soft and moist. Tried some with strawberry pie filling in the middle, with cream cheese icing and a strawberry glaze, yummy!

Chewy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2007
Im not a very good cook but these were easy to make and came out perfect. I just spooned them onto the cookie sheet, didnt have any problems with them coming out flat. I did have to bake them for about 15min and the edges were barley golden. Nice and soft and chewey thou. The only thing is they werent quite sweet enough. Next time Im going to try extra sugar. I made icing for them and that sweetened them up perfectly. Great recipe if you are using icing, that way it dosent end up too sweet.
