This recipe is delicious! I used very tart apples, from my sister's tree, so I did end up using the entire 4 cups of sugar. I think the reviewers who said they used less probably didn't use tart apples. Also, my cook time was WAY more than the recipe said. I cooked it covered on low for 10 hours, put it in the fridge over night, then cooked it on low UNcovered, the next day, for another 10-11 hours. I also put it in the food processor to make is completely smooth towards the end of cooking. Everyone who's tasted it has loved it. Thanks so much for this wonderful recipe Terri!
