Oreo™ Cookie Bark

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
This is a great, easy and inexpensive teacher gift! My kids loved to help make it and eat it. :)

Tuscan Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2005
Great, similar to OG and quick! We like to: Add a clove of minced garlic to the onions, use sliced small potatoes and add a can of cannellini beans. Gotta top with grated parmesan. My kids aren't fond of spinach, so we warm up frozen spinach and add it to individual bowls before serving.

Becca's Taco Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2005
Dee-lish, super simple and quicker than chili. My tweaks: Needed entire packet of taco seasoning and added a can of black beans. Topped with crushed tortilla chips, cheddar cheese, sour cream and green onions.

Kettle Corn

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2004
YUM! But ya gotta follow the modifications that others have suggested. It comes out perfect every time. Place 3 Tbsp oil in the pot and a few kernels of corn. Once these kernels pop, immediately add the rest of the corn and all the sugar. Shake constantly without peeking. Definitely sprinkle the popped corn with a little salt.

Kielbasa and Cabbage

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2003
YUM! Have made it several times but I omit the bacon (why add the extra fat?) and instead panfry sliced lowfatturkey kielbasa. This still gives you the carmelized goodies in the bottom of the pan. I slice the cabbage into 2 inch wide strips (wilts and braises better) and throw in a tablespoon or two of real bacon bits just add a touch of that bacon flavor. I serve it with noodles and a veggie.

Crispy Orange Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2003
Sauce is what makes it great. Like others, we altered it by: using 1/3 cup orange juice instead of concentrate *and* stirfrying batches with only 1 Tbs of peanut oil each time. Cuts down on calories and left the meat tender and glossy. Pretty authentic tasting.

P.J.'s Fresh Corn Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2002
What a change from a pasta or potato salad. Looks great and definitely is FRESH tasting. Agree with a previous review, it needed more dressing. We also added tons of fresh black pepper.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2002
Just like a restaurant's and gobbled down by the whole family. Kids love to pound the chicken. Agree with other reviewers - definitely double the sauce and the mushrooms.

Toll House Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2002
Expected the chips to hold their own (like in a cookie) but they turned into a mass of gooey chocolate. Totally sinful. Get a big glass of milk.

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2002
Yummy. Made these cookies on April Fool's Day for my daughter's class instead of the gross tasting "Cat Poop Cookies" offered on this site. WOW! They disappeared! Placed tablespoon fulls of "dough" on a tray then popped the tray into the freezer. After a few minutes, I took them out and gently gave them the appropriate shape while leaving them on the tray. Quick, easy and very realistic.

Apple Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2001
Moist and chewy just like brownies! So yummy and easy to make that I baked these two days in a row for both daughters' school apple festivals. Had to up the cooking time by 10 minutes. Sprinkled with powdered sugar to make it look more attractive. Brought home empty plates both nights!
