About this Cook
I love to find foods that make me feel my best.I am a busy working mother with less time than ambition. I recently learned about our food industry in the US; I am becoming passionate about organic and unprocessed food for me and my family :)
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy baking breads, playing around with different flavors. I am interested in gluten-free cooking. Yummy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
The women in my family are good cooks. I remember pies lined up on my grandmother's table, waiting to lick the spoon whenever I smelled something delicious. My first word was sausage :)
My cooking triumphs
I made white chicken lasagna, froze it in meal size packages, and gave to my girlfriends for their family dinners. They really enjoyed it!
My cooking tragedies
When I was in high school, I accidentally made a dessert with salt instead of sugar. It was very disappointing.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
I love this recipe!! I have made it several times and it is the perfect cookie. This time I substituted part of the flour with wheat flour, and I also used organic sugar. Comes out great every time and my son loves them too!

Beets and Greens
This warm beet with greens and carmelized onions was flavorful and a nice change. Great recipe. Next time, I will only wilt the greens and discard the stems.

Stacey's Fabulous Purple Potato Gratin
This is so yummy! I didn't have bacon or goat cheese, so I substituted canadian bacon slices and mozzarella. Even so, the flavors are wonderful. I can't wait to make this again.
