J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
These are the BEST biscuits I have ever made. We make these quite offten. For biscuits and gravy, jam, apple butter ect. I used butter insted of shorting. Also use frozen butter and mix in food processor. Place butter cut up as best as you can in processor add flour baking powder and salt. Pulsate for a few seconds at a time until butter is pea size. Dump mixture in to large bowl add milk and mix proceed with instructions quickly so butter dose not begin to melt. Make sure you bake them on a pan that has sides (like a jelly roll pan) so all the butter will not run off and make a mess at the bottom of the oven. SO good.

Southwest Summer Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
Amazing these are so good. It was a great way to add tons of flavor with out salt and fat. When I made these I did not have BBQ or lemon but they were wonderful with out it. On another note I made extra the second time around and chopped up the meat and made chili with it my family loved that also. Thanks again.

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2012
Thee best pumpkin bars I have ever had! I even converted my nana from her tried and true recipe. I did use pumpkin pie spice instead of just cinnamon and half the oil and repaced it with unsweetened applesauce. Thanks

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
I 'm sorry but I did not care for this. This was my first time making blondies as a surprise for my husband. I was encouraged by all the good reviews and the reviews did not have a million changes to the recipe. But these are just bad. They were too sweet (and I am a sweet junkie) they were too gooy in the middle, and too much vanilla which made them taste like alcahol. I am giving them 3 stars because my husband will eat them but he eats almost anything. I will not be making these again.

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2012
These were good and all the boys liked them too. I would just add at least a 1/4 tsp of cumin if not a pinch more. I also made with reduce fat cream cheese. We will be making again. Wonder how it would be with tortilla chips instead?

Leftover Chicken Croquettes

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
I made these last night with left over Turducken. They were really good even my very pickey stepson had seconds. I used italian seasoned bread crumbs and had marinara sauce on top too. I think that you really need 3 eggs and tase your breadcrumbs before you add the salt. I did not and they were a bit on the salty side.

Irish Champ

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
Amazing so easy so so good. We will keep this and rotate into monthly side dishes. I made two tiny changes I had some half and half so I used that in place of the milk. I also was very busy while making this so I left the skins on the potatoes and mashed them in. Extra vitamins and good texture. Thank you
