I'm a mom , grandma , sister , aunt , wife , mother and trying to find myself in all of these people . But i do know i am the provider of food for my family and i try to make it interesting .
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake cookies,cakes,and most sweets . I enjoy a easy main dish . I don't mind prep work if the dish is ready when all the other side dishes are .
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving ! having everything on the table hot and good is a must for me . It is to me the most important meal of the year .
My cooking triumphs
I have made a very good New york cheese cake that any one would be proud of . I have also taught my youngest daughter how to make it . I love trying a new recipe and having it turn out right and everyone loving it .
My cooking tragedies
I invited my parents over for Thanksgiving diner the first year i was married and the bottom element in my oven went out , so my turkey was only half done . I tried turning up the oven and only resulted in a burned turkey on top and raw on the bottom . That is now why i try so hard to make my Thanksgiving dinner perfect .

Rhubarb Dream Bars
Great recipie , loved the flavor . Although I ended up cooking it MUCH longer than 35 minuets . I ended up cooking it for almost an hour and a half . Guess it depends on how much water is in the rhubarb itself . but after it was done (and I did not burn,even after cooking that long) It was so nice and sweet . You will want to make small pieces !
