Spicy Refrigerator Dill Pickles

Reviewed: May 14, 2012
Absolutely amazing. I will never ever ever eat store bought pickles again. I halved the amount of cucumbers and doubled the brine since it's just me and my husband. I also cut the sugar and added sliced white onions and fresh jalapenos. They turned out perfect! I'm already on my third batch.

My Favorite Mexican Rice

Reviewed: May 14, 2012
I agree what another said, waaaaaayyyy to salty. I wish I would've seen that review before I made it. The flavor is fantastic, I will definitely make it again, just without the extra salt.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2012
This was incredible! My husband took one bite and said it was the best enchiladas he's ever had in his life. I took chicken tenders and seasoned them with chili powder, garlic, cayenne, salt and pepper. Then I browned them with some olive oil. I sauteed a diced red onion and diced fresh jalapeno with the can of chiles. Then I followed the rest of the directions, except I used corn tortillas instead of flour. It turned out spectacular!!!

Pretty Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2012
I was excited about this, and it definitely looked pretty once it came off the grill, but it was super dry and had no flavor. I marinated it for 3 hours and followed the recipe to a T. Just didn't work for me.

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
THE BEST APPETIZER EVER! I took it to 3 parties over the holiday season and it was devoured. Everyone raved about it. Like others, I cut the biscuits into 1/4ths, used only enough mayo to coat, and added a little bit of garlic. I will be taking these to every party from now on!

Very good! Like others, I put it all in the crock pot and let it cook overnight, then added the barley. Will make again!

Penne with Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
AWESOME! Took others advice and used 1 can of diced tomatoes, and doubled the wine and garlic and added crushed red pepper. And I let it simmer longer, about 45 minutes unvoered to reduce. Will definitely make again!

Grill Master Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
The reviews are correct, these wings are amazing!!! I followed the recipe to a T the first time, but now, I omit the butter part and just toss the wings in Frank's Buffalo wing sauce after I take them off the grill. They are fantastic!

Simple Strawberry Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2011
So simple and easy. I had a plain piece of cheesecake that needed a little something. This was perfect, I had NO idea that you could make it so easily. Thank you for sharing, because without this recipe I would've been lost!

Best Chicken Ever

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2011
Excellent!! I followed other reviewers and added dry ranch dip mix to the sour cream, marinated the chicken in it for a couple hours in the fridge, then added some spices to the crushed cereal. I baked it covered w/ foil for 40 min, then 20 min uncovered. It turned out fabulous!

Brie Cheese Appetizer

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
Love it! Just like everyone else has said, this tastes amazing! I used the non perforated crescent rolls and several spoon fulls of apricot. I cut the dough in half. I used one half on the bottom and draped the other half across the top of the brie. I smashed all of it together and bunched it on the top. Unlike the recipe says, to put the seam on the bottom, I felt it worked better to keep the seam on the top. I brushed all of the dough liberally with egg white and I had no leakage. It turned out perfect.

Pork Chops in Tomato Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
This recipe turned out fantastic! The only things that I did different - I used red wine instead of white because that's what I had on hand, and added a can of Italian stewed tomatoes and a can of crushed tomatoes. I browned the chops in garlic salt, pepper, olive oil, butter, minced garlic and fresh herbs. I put sliced sweet onion, pork chops, three more sprigs of fresh herbs and sauce in the crock pot and cooked on high for four hours. It turned out delicious!!!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
Yep. Everyone was right. These are amazing. My boyfriend is THE pickiest eater ever, so I was reluctant to try something new. But he loved them and told me I could put this into our rotation. I followed other reviewers suggestion to use only 1/3 cup of olive oil, and half the salt. Everything else I followed exactly. Seriously, these are awesome!

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
EXCELLENT!!! I used frozed mixed veggies, frozen chopped onions, a can of mushrooms and a can of chicken. I boiled that in chicken broth and a can of cream of chicken soup. I let that reduce, then added the flour and milk. Like others, I baked the bottom crust for 8 min, then added the chicken mixture and the top crust and baked for 375 for 40 min. It turned out perfect!!!! None left!!!!

Goat Cheese and Arugula over Penne

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
Excellent!!!! I didn't have arugula, I just sauteed fresh baby spinach with olive oil and minced garlic until it was wilted, took it off the burner, mixed in the goat cheese until it was slightly melted, then added the tomatoes and pasta. Like others, I sprinkled Parmesan on it too. It was REALLY good!

No Time to Cook Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
If I would have made this recipe exactly as stated, I'm sure it wouldn't have turned out so great, like other reviewers have commented. However - I made a couple modifications and it turned out absolutely EXCELLENT! I made the base recipe following the original instructions, except I seasoned the chicken with garlic salt, pepper and paprika. I sliced up a white onion, (not chopped) placed half the onion slices in the bottom of the crockpot, placed the chicken on top, then put the rest of the onions on top of the chicken. I mixed low fat crm of mush. soup & crm of chicken soup in a bowl, added a little milk until it was smooth, and then mixed in a can of diced tomatos & a can of sliced mushrooms. I poured that over the chicken and onions, and sprinkled garlic salt, pepper and paprika on the top of everything. Since it was just for me and my husband, I only use 3 pieces of boneless, skinless chicken breasts. I turned the crockpot on high, it only took 2 1/2 to cook. I served over egg noodles. I'm not kidding. This is one of the BEST dinners I have ever made! The sauce was excellent and the chicken was really really moist and tender. My husband basically licked his plate, and as I'm writing this review, he's over there eating another helping!

The Best Meatloaf I've Ever Made

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
Last night was the second time I've made this. The first time I made a mistake and didn't add enough breadcrumbs and it fell apart. This time though, I made it with ground turkey (it still turns out excellent) and added enough Italian seasoned breadcrumbs and it was absolutely amazing! Not a single bit left in the pan.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
Oh man, I took these to TWO separate parties and they were a hit BOTH times! I did as others suggested and put the stuffing into a ziploc bag with the corner cut off and it worked just fine. I also basted the outside of the mushrooms with melted butter so they wouldn't dry out.

French Onion Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
FABULOUS! Except that you have to cook the onions WAY longer than specified. I cooked yellow onions on medium for about 30 minutes. I used regular slices of white bread, toasted them in the toaster slightly, then put the cheese on top and broiled them for a minute. I didn't have oven safe bowls, so I just ladled the soup in a regular bowl and added the bread with the melted cheese. YUMMY!
