Overnight Coffee Cake
We made this coffee cake last night and baked it this morning. It was just ok - I think there are better coffeecakes out there. It was really sweet. It also had a dense/chewy texture. It took 35-40 minutes to bake too - I am glad I checked on it earlier.

Special Buttercream Frosting
This is exactly the kind of buttercream I wanted - sugary and stiff, just like the bakery. I substituted about 1/6 of the shortening with butter. The frosting has a really good flavor.

Chocolate Ganache
The ganache is delicious! I whipped it to use as a filling for my daughter's birthday cake. I ended up adding some powdered sugar because I thought it was too dark for younger kids. I think I will try it with other kinds of chocolate for other uses.
