Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
Had always boiled or used a crockpot in the past, but we thought this recipe was terrific, and will not change a thing. Roasting always makes a more flavorful meat than boiling or crock pot. The same with the vegetables you might want to add toward the end.

Cherry Bomb Chicken

Reviewed: May 30, 2012
Just when I thought there wasn't another chicken recipes I could try............THIS is my absolute favorite above all others. My husband loved it, also. The only thing I think I'll try is doubling the glaze before grilling.......SO good - need even more! BRAVO!

Rita's Sweet Holiday Baked Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
I loved the glaze, but the meat was SOOOOO dry. I had used a spiral cut, and would not do that again. Might even consider using same glaze, but different roasting method.

Lemon Blueberry Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
I love this recipe. I've made it two years in a row for a Christmas gift to several neighbors, using mini loaf pans. At a time of year when everything is so sweet or chocolaty the lemon zing is a refreshing change. One thing I do different, is to bring the sugar/lemon glaze to a boil, and cool a bit before applying. You don't get the grit of the sugar, but more of a smooth glassy glaze. Exceptional flavor!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
I love this recipe. Great presentation for company, and the sauce is to die for. I did follow a few suggestions,......Egg bath, and bread crumbs & papricka......brown, then put into 350 oven for 20 minutes......make sauce from pan drippings. Just perfect.

Andouille, Shrimp, and Oyster Gumbo

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
I loved this recipe. How authentic. The flavors just burst. Very easy to change the main protein ingredients, sausage, chicken, shrimp, clams, oyster. Whatever.........the basic broth is perfect.

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
Loved these potatoes for Thanksgiving. I did make them ahead one day, and placed in a crock pot with cream and extra butter the day of the meal. Even reheated for leftovers they were great. Every last bite was gone!
