American Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2002
Yummy and easy to make. I made it several hours before a dinner and let it sit in the fridge until it was time to bake. Turned out great, and I didn't have to stress out too much with preparation right before the dinner.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 8, 2001
Great recipe! Cookies stayed soft and moist. I made a mistake and only put in half the chocolate chips called for, but if I had put the right amount in, the cookies would have been solid chocolate! I had enough to take to my class, my office, and my roommate's office, and they were gobbled up!

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2002
These were super easy to make, and taste delicious. The top is just lightly crispy, the center moist, and the bottom cookie-like. My tip - be sure to grease the pan well, otherwise the first bars are hard to get out. At work, these were gone in seconds!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2006
I liked this recipe. I substituted another stick of butter for the butter-flavored shortening, and took out half a cup of the rolled oats and substituted a half cup of steel-cut oats instead. I made them a little bigger than the recipe stated (about 1.5 inch diameter ball before baking) and baked them 15 minutes. They came out very soft with a very nice texture on the outside and just a bit of crunch due to the steel-cut oats. I will definitely make these again, but I may cut down on the sugar next time and use only 1.5 sticks of butter.

Lemon Basil Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2013
I like the flexibility of this recipe - it was good chilled but can also be served with the chicken hot off the grill. Additional vegetables can also be added, which is a plus. I agree with the previous reviewer that the lemon flavor was weak, so I also added more lemon juice, and brushed the chicken with lemon juice while grilling. I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil. A good picnic salad. Thanks!

Strudel Dough

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2002
Easy to make, but not too interesting a flavor either. I could see filling it with something with strong, dark flavor - meats and peppered vegetables. I used fresh peach filling, and the strudel dough seemed bland.
