57 year old divorced female. Two grown daughters and 4 grandchildren from 17 yrs old to 6 yrs old. I have a 7 year old cat named Harley whom I would be lost without. She is not much for cuddling but she doesn't like to get too far away from me either. I love crocheting and I must say, that even as a kitten, Harley has never messed with my thread.
My favorite things to cook
Although I haven't made them in quite a while, I love making, what my family calls, doughgots. These are deep fried bread pockets filled with whatever leftovers happen to be in the fridge.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Me making tons of banana bread during the holidays.
My cooking triumphs
My own homemade Chicken Kiev, bread, and banana bread. One year made 75 loaves of banana bread between Thanksgiving and Christmas. My darling mother loved to share my bread with friends and neighbors. Needless to say, if I remember correctly, I actually got about two of those loaves for myself. Giving was a big part of my mother and as long as she was happy I just kept right on baking.
My cooking tragedies
I attempted to make a meatloaf out of moose meat. I forgot that fat needs to be added to moose meat in order to bind it together; it literally fell apart. Oh well, it wound up making excellent chili!
