My boyfriend pointed out a tray of baklava at the store the other day, and mentioned it would be a good Christmas present for him. However, the price and the amount of pieces in a single tray was crazy. So I went home and found this recipe and made it the next day (for much cheaper!). I doubled the sauce like the others suggested, but I didn't use all of it (but most of it). Being on a budget, I just grabbed a can of cheap mixed nuts. It turned out a little more peanutity then most baklava I've had, but thats not a bad thing. It's definitely one of my favorite desserts now!
