World's Best Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2012
Tasted like scalloped potatoes rather than potato soup.

White Bread For The Bread Machine

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2012
5 stars doesn't do this recipe justice. I have made hundreds of loaves of white bread but it wasn't until I made this one that everyone in my family raved. I didn't have bread flour so I just used regular flour. The rest of the recipe I followed exactly. I have never tasted such a light fluffy white bread, ever.

Buffalo Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2012
I tasted and then doubled the franks red hot sauce because I like a lot of spice. I also used sharp cheddar because it was all I had on hand. Excellent recipe even if you don't change a thing.

Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Best broccoli recipe, ever! I found the recipe last week and I've eaten a big bunch of broccoli almost every day since then.

Beer Lime Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2011
The recipe was a little bland. The flavor of the honey, lime, and cilantro didn't come through even though I marinated it for 2 days. If I were to make this recipe again I'd subsitute a darker beer for the light beer, extra honey, and probably a lot more cilantro. I'd also baste it with melted butter and lime as it's cooking.

Baked Ziti III

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2011
My pickiest eater said, "MAKE THIS AGAIN!" The only thing I did different was I sprinkled the dish with a little bit of red pepper flakes and I used homemade spaghetti sauce. Everyone loved this recipe.

Delicious Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2011
This is the first "by scratch" bread I've ever made without a bread machine. I totally screwed up the recipe by not adding the sugar until just before the flour. Surprisingly all three batches I made turned out perfectly anyway. I ended up sharing the extra loaves with a couple other families and they all thought it was as fantastic as my family did. This is a fool proof recipe that even I couldn't screw up. I will be making this one again and again.

Mushroom Wild Rice Bake

Reviewed: May 20, 2011
I'm only going to give this recipe three stars because I really think it would have tasted a lot better with chicken broth instead of beef bouillion and water. The beef flavor seemed to over take the wild rice flavor.

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
This dish didn't go over very well with the family. It was too sweet. The corn combined with the onions and brown sugar was just too much sweet for one meal. My vegetarian kids asked me not to make this ever again.

Mulligatawny Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
Amazing soup! I didn't have heavy cream so I used whole milk instead and it was still excellent tasting. All the rest of the ingredients I used as listed. I will be making this soup again, it was that good!

Chocolate Crinkles II

I didn't care for these cookies. Not only are they devoid of flavor but the cookies refused to flatten while baking. They stayed in the ball shape.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

I liked this recipe just as it was however next time I think I'll leave out the ham as well as the salt. This soup is restaurant quality!

I made the recipe exactly as written. The bread was to die for! I kept one loaf and gave the other to a friend and she's already pestering me to make more. I'll be making more of this recipe to put in the freezer.

Zucchini Pineapple Bread I

I made the recipe exctly as shown and I thought the recipe lacked a lot of flavor. It might have been the lack of nuts that left this recipe bland.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
This soup is amazing! I don't blend it though because I like chunky stuff. The recipe is versatile enough to add extra ingredients into like corn, peppers, etc. to spice it up and make it your own recipe.

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

It was a good recipe but I think next time I'll up the garlic and decrease the red wine vinegar a bit. This recipe is a keeper!

German Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
It's just a personal preference but I thought this recipe lacked a lot of flavor. If I made it again I'd probably use a really salty hickory or maple flavored ham and I might toss in some bacon.

Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
Delish!!!!! I used two regular size cream soups, 1 chicken, and 1 celery instead of the 26 oz. can of cream of chix soup. I also added about a half cup of frozen corn to the recipe for additional color. The celery salt I exchanged for garlic powder because I wanted taste but didn't want the additional salt. I will make this again!

Tim Perry's Soup (Creamy Curry Cauliflower and Broccoli Soup)

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
I only made two substitutions; I used red pepper flakes instead of the curry, and I used corn starch instead of the flour. EXCELLENT soup! I will make it again.
