Pretty good. Were hard to cut through. May want to set out prior to cutting. But overall they were tasty.

Easy Alfredo Sauce I

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
I made this and did as suggested to add cheese gradually. This is the best alfredo sauce I've ever made and tasted. I hate the stuff in the jars, this is WONDERFUL! Thanks for sharing it!

Taylor's Piroshki

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
This recipe is fantastic! I also bake these at 400 for about 15-20 minutes instead of frying. I make it with ground beef, onion, cheese and sauerkraut for more of a bier rock taste. I've also done it with chopped spinach. I may try doing it with apple filling sometime. This is GREAT! Give it a try, it's really not hard to do and the leftovers are great too! Thank you!

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
Easy to make and fairly fast too. Was tasty. Could have used some more spice/zest, but perfect for our toddler.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
Was very tasty. Will definitely make it again. I have to hold the spice out for my toddler, but we add it to our own. YUM! Thanks!

Very good! Made as directed but in the non-alcoholic form for a trunk or treat event. Everyone loved it!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
This was very good. Made it as directed and came out great. Used Southwestern Style flavored chip strips from Target (Archer Farms) and it gave it some nice zest along with sour cream. YUM!

Chicken, Garlic, and Sundried Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
Made this tonight. Used fresh tomatoes, more garlic. Thought it came out pretty good. I would make it again. :) I'd like to try using something other than cream of chicken soup, just because it has MSG in it. So I'll try that next time.

Sweet Cornbread Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
This came out really good, made it tonight. Could be a little sweeter for my taste. But the texture and flavor and ease of preparation was great. And I have everything in the cabinet almost always (except the corn meal...). Thanks!

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
Followed as stated. Used parchment paper to help with taking out of pan. I liked the flavors, however, the texture seemed a little rubbery or something...

Old German Honey Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
I followed others' comments and changed the honey sugar measurements to 1.25 and .5. I also changed the ginger and nutmeg to .5tsp each. However, my husband and I both thought these were missing something. The texture is good, more cake like, and like a gingerbread, but it's still missing some flavor to it or something. Probably won't make them again, or will make major changes to the recipe to do so.

Chorizo Stuffed Bell Peppers

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
I'm rating this three because there is one key problem with the recipe. This calls for uncooked rice. Now, either it needs to be instant rice, or it needs to be cooked, because we made this and the rice was no where near cooked. It was hard and crunchy. I've made stuffed peppers before, but thought I'd give this one a try and follow as instructed, but I'd make changes to it if I make it again.

Wiener Schnitzel

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
These came out great. I followed the recipe as noted. However, I bought veal strips that were already pretty thin, so I didn't need to cut them or pound them thin or anything. Enjoyed the flavor and texture.

Brined Bratwurst

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
We really liked this one. I think that honestly, good brats make this recipe. You can't just buy some cheap brats and have it taste as good. We have made this twice and enjoyed it both times.

German Zwiebelkuchen (Onion Pie)

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
I was not really impressed. I did cut this in half because it's just my husband and I and I could tell it would make way too much. This reminded us of a quiche which we both really like, but this just was missing something. I'm glad we tried it, but we won't be making it again.

German Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
This tasted pretty good but I don't know that I would make it again. I did slice the apples instead of cubing them. It did get very soggy after each day passed on. I think you could cut out a lot of oil in it and just let the apples give it the moisture. I made it in a bundt pan. The top had a nice crispy crust and was nice and moist. Again, tasted good...just not sure it's a keeper.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
These taste fantastic! They don't look great though. I did have to let the dough sit for 2 hours to rise both times I made them. I did do the baking soda wash as instructed and let them sit for 10min. I also tried to wash with butter and with egg after the soda wash, all in separate batches. But they never looked as good as the photo posted. :( But they still tasted fantastic!!!
