Texas-Style Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
These were a little on the spicy side and a little less sweet than I like, but my husband loved them. Per other suggestions, I used pork sausage rather than ground beef for additional flavor.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
I made this recipe EXACTLY AS IS and it was amazing. Like others have said, the trick to (any) frosting really is in the whipping process. Freeze your bowl and whisks prior to whipped the heavy cream. The cream cheese must be allowed to sit out at room temperature before attempting to cream. If it is too cold, you will have a lumpy result. If you do not whip the heavy cream to a very still peak, you will have a runny result. If made properly, this recipe is heavenly without adding any other ingredients.

Garlic Prime Rib

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
This the the best prime rib my husband and I have ever had, including restaurant prime ribs! It was my first time making a prime rib, and it turned out perfect. This recipe is going to be a new Christmas dinner tradition!

Country Apple Cobbler

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
This cobbler was good. It wasn't the best cobbler I have had and I will probably try a different recipe next time I want to make it. For me, it had too much dough and not enough apples.

Cornish Game Hens with Garlic and Rosemary

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
I enjoyed this recipe. It made very moist game hens. For me, it was a little on the oily side. I might use more white wine & broth and less oil in the sauce next time.

Classic Tiramisu

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
I made this recipe for my husband's birthday and it was the best tiramisu we have ever had. It was fantastic. I opted for the springform pan and didn't line the edges with ladyfingers. The key to success is to purchase soft ladyfingers. I also sifted my cocoa on the top and used more to cover the entire top of the tiramisu.
