Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
Excellent recipe. I love this mix b/c it's much cheaper per serving than any commercial mix and tastes better too. I did leave out the cardomon due to the high cost, but did add allspice instead and the white pepper as suggested by another member. I also reduced the cloves by half since some members believed it to be a little overpowering. I figured it would be easier to add than to remove later. I'm storing it in an air tight, decorative cannister on the counter top for easy access. I also plan to make a few batches to give as gifts for the holidays. I may even try a batch with Splenda for the diabetics in my family.

Pizza Pinwheels

TOO GOOD! How can you possibly go wrong when you start with a can of crescent rolls and add cheese, etc. FABULOUS PARTY FOOD. Next time I think I will try adding diced peppers and onions. HINT: Let the kids help assemble and roll these up. Keep them occupied while you prepare other goodies.

Ricotta Kuchen with Streusel Topping

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
Sorry to complain, but I am questioning the measurements & directions for this recipe because it was a complete disaster. Although the dough turned out wonderful and tasty (5*'s), the filling and streusel DID NOT! TOO MUCH FILLING AND STREUSEL INGREDIENTS TURNED INTO SYRUP. I think it needs to be cleared up as to whether the milk or creamer to be used is dry powder or liquid. I used 2% milk instead of creamer as suggested, but it was NOT struesel. The filling oozed out & burned on the baking sheet & even reduced the amount to 2/3's of the recommended amount. I will use the dough recipe again, but will look for other filling & struesl recipes.

No Bake Cereal Cookies

LOVE to make and EAT this recipe, but found that the cheerios were a little hard for my sensative mouth. So I made a few adjustments which I now call "Cereal Killer Candy". I've submitted a photo & the changes which are waiting for approval. However, I wanted to thank the original submitter for the basics to get me started.

PHILLY Maple Nut Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
I wasn't sure how a sweet cheese ball would go over with the usual crowd since I often make a savory c.b. with garlic or ranch seasonings. I didn't have the port wine, but used the remaining ingredients. It was fantastic! I was pleasantly surprised. Even the kids liked it. Can't wait to try it again with different cheese and nut variations.

Zucchini-Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
Mmm..mm..moist! I admit I couldn't resist doubling the cc's as suggested by other users. Since they are falling off the tree by the bucket fulls this year, I also added 1 large pear, shredded along with the zucchini to yield an additional 3/4 cup of shreds. Then I added 1 1/2 cups raisin bran to make them hearty. It's a stick to your ribs and maybe your thighs kind of muffin! This recipe will be a new favorite in my personal recipe collection. With the added ingredients, I filled the cups to the rim and yielded 14 beautifully, golden brown muffins. The added ingredients did NOT dry them out, instead the juicy pear bettered the end results. My picky toddler gobbled hers up and begged for seconds! A sincere thank you for sharing Ms. Pierce!
