Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2011
If you like your chocolate chip cookie more dense in texture then you need this recipe. If you like a light in texture chocolate chip cookie then you need the Award Winning Soft CCC from this site. Personally, I prefer a dense cookie good for dipping in my glass of milk:-)

Real N'awlins Muffuletta

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
I made this easy by buying: Marzetta's California Hot Mix (pickled celery, carrots, cauliflower) and cans of chopped black and green olives. The rest I kept the same. With this modification the recipe was simple AND delish!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
STOP! Search no more THIS is the chocolate cake recipe you want. My youngest turns 5 this week and requested chocolate cake with no frosting. There is no way this needs frosting. PERFECT! Made per directions, doubled recipe and made 48 cupcakes. My house smells divine;-)

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
Per other reviews PLEASE omit the butter and salt, the cheese has enough grease without the butter and the Ranch has enough salt. I made a breakfast casserole out of the left over potatos in the same dish. Gently smash down the potatos in the dish. In bowl mix 6 eggs, 3 Tbsp of sourcream (or add milk), precooked bacon, 1/2 cup of shredded cheese and some tarragon. Put in fridge overnight and it is ready to bake in morning 375 oven for 45 minutes.

Cheddar Ranch Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
Please note the reviewers who state that the 1 oz ranch is over powering b/c it is. Next time I will only use 1/2 an once. I salvaged this by adding cream cheese, half n half (to thin) and 2 fresh jalapenos chopped.

Dave's Low Country Boil

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
Seriously delicious! Potatoes boil 15 min, then corn 10 min, then crab legs and kielbasa 5 min, then jumbo pre-cooked shrimp. From the get go I put in 2 bags of zatarans, 2 cloves of garlic and 2 whole lemons halved. Spread out newspaper, dumped in center of table, hand little cups of melted butter for dipping.(FYI: do a little Internet research on crab legs if you have not cooked them before as I found it insightful as to what kind to purchase)

Margaritas on the Rocks

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
Make this one before you do the other recipe on this site that has more stars!!! The Grand Marnier (or Gran Gala...less expensive but just as good) is what makes this better than other recipes. Instead of sweet n sour I used a can of frozen limeade. Threw it all in the blender, topped with ice and blended (DO NOT add more ice to make it thicker it will only water it down). Simply drink it as is the first time, then freeze the rest in a ziplock bag for easy frozen margaritas the second time around. YUMMY!!!

Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
Great starter recipe...used already made Fajita Chicken from Sam's and put in food processor (3 cups)...used 8 oz of cream cheese and 8 oz of Brie (only b/c that's what I had on hand). In addition to the Ranch I added 1/2 cup of BlueCheese Dressing. I melted the mix in microwave to soften the cheese, then used mixer, then added shredded cheese and chicken, mixed again and dumped in casserole dish to bake...YUMMY!

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
This was fun to make. My kids helped created the winter scene. I bought the foam at walmart along with a 3 pack of disposable foil pizza pans and blue construction paper (it was impossible to find blue saranwrap). I also bought various size foam balls and my kids made a snow man for each tray. Was it the best appetizer I have ever eaten? Well no, after all it is just olives and cream cheese. That being said this was the talk of the party and several people took pictures which is why I am giving it a 5. Warning, for a while no one ate it because they thought it was a center piece:-)

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
My hubby who hates mustard loved this chicken. I only used 2 TBS of butter which was plenty. I used chicken breasts which I split to stuff before cooking. Marinaded split chicken for an hour then stuffed with blue cheese and slivered almonds, rolled in bread crumbs and drizzled remaining sauce over chicken. Baked 350 for 30 min coverd with foil then another 10 without foil at 400 to brown the crust.

BBQ Chicken Pizza I

STOP! You must get 2 meals for one with this....Night #1 Make the "Tender Barbecued Chicken" from this site with chicken breasts and serve with Sun Dried Tomato wraps. Night #2 use the left over chicken to make this pizza. (Cilantro and Jalapenos go well with both wrap and pizza)

Tender Barbecued Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
As a fellow teacher, I agree this recipe is easy and yummy! I omitted the lemon and added garlic per other reviewers advice. I used 4 chicken breasts cooked on low for over 9 hours (I was at work) then shredded chicken(it literally fell apart with the touch of a fork). Served on Sun Dried Tomato Wraps with cheddar cheese. Saved left overs to make BBQ Chicken Pizza the next nite. (Cilantro and Jalapenos make a nice addition to both the wrap and pizza).

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
I skip the saute as on less step makes it that much faster. I simply marinade the chicken in the sauce, put in a shallow baking dish, pour on the Ranch and bake. The last 5 minutes I add the cheese and bacon. This recipe is easy and yummy!

Jalapeno Chicken II

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
I'd give this a 5 star but I made modifications. Instead of italian dressing I used an Asian marinade (soy, brown sugar and garlic). I then split the chicken breasts and stuffed with cream cheese and diced jalapenos. I topped it with a slice of bacon and then baked. Yummy! Therefore I give it 4 stars as it is a good starter recipe to play with.
