Apple Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
I made this the other day with french cut pork loins and let me tell you, this is AMAZING! My husband tried this when he came home from work ( he works 2nd shift and I work 1st shift) and when he came to bed at 3AM, he couldn't stop raving about it! He said they were the best pork chops he ever had! The apples are great in this. They give it a nice sweet taste. I went with the advice from another reviewer about how to cook it though. I wrapped them in foil and cooked them for 20 minutes then cooked them for another 20 minutes without the foil. They came out so tender.I absolutley love this recipe!

Best Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
Eh, I've made better. It tastes better with chocolate cake batter. I would use powder sugar instead of granulated sugar because it is grainy. Also, not very sweet.

Guy Approved Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
My husband just loves this recipe and quite frankly, so do I. The liquid smoke adds a great smokey flavor to it and the barbeque sauce is so much better than using ketchup. It is so easy to make too! Thanks for the recipe!

Strawberry Vanilla Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2014
The pancakes came out light and fluffy despite of how runny the mix was, which doesn't bother me anyway. However, I sort of made up my own recipe by making these alterations. I cut the cup of all purpose flour in half and added 1/2 cup if whole wheat flour. I also used almond extract instead of vanilla. My taste buds prefer the almond extract with strawberries over the vanilla. Waaaaay too much salt. I put in the teaspoon of salt but it was overpowering, so the next time I make these, I will cut it down by half.

Maple Glazed Pork Loin

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2014
I thought this recipe would not have been as good with vinegar, so I used my best judgement and used soy sauce instead. And the outcome? The best pork tenderloin glaze I ever tasted! I really liked the brown sugar in this too. This was both sweet and savory. It is definitely a 5 star glaze with soy sauce.

Pineapple Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2014
What a delicious side dish and incredibly easy to make too! I made a pork tenderloin with it and it was a hit with my husband and two year old son. I sprinkled cinnamon all over the pineapple bake and just mixed it up in the pan. So glad I didn't use just a pinch. It gave it such a wonderful spice flavor. I used saigon cinnamon. It's sweet with a little kick.

Easy Fried Eggplant

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2014
I give this recipe 3 stars without adjustments because the taste was very bland. However, after changing the recipe the second time around by adding garlic powder and salt to the bread crumbs (an adjustment made by another reviewer), I was very pleased. I give this recipe with the alterations a five.

Momma's Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2014
Personally, I'm not a big fan of these turkey sloppy joes. It was dry and pretty tasteless. Even though it's not going the healthy route, I think I'll stick with Manwich.

I made this recipe the way it was and it was okay but it needs more sugar...four stars for the lack of sweetness.

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
This cake turned out AWESOME! This is one of the best chocolate cakes I have ever eaten. I made homemade caramel sauce to go on on top and the presentation was flawless and the taste...OH, the taste! Perfectly rich and moist. My taste buds were singing! This cake WILL be made again!
