Mandarin Orange Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
I recieved this recipe from my sister in law a few years ago and I make it for birthdays with a few changes. I use 2-11 oz cans of mandarin oranges but only the juice of one, and I use 2- 9 inch cake pans and cook for about 25 minutes. For the frosting, I throw the crushed pineapple, cool whip and pudding in the bowl and whip together for a few minutes, no need to fold..... it will set just fine after frosting the double layer and putting in the fridge for a couple hours. Everyone loves this cake. One could put orange segmets on top to decorate. If you haven't tried this one. DO you will be glad you did. Thanks Sandy

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
After reading the reviews, I decided to change a couple of things, I switched the measurements of the brown and white sugars and added 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. Absolutely the best, just what we had envisioned on our tastebuds. Light and crispy and not gooey in the center. Thanks!

Bread Machine Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
My attempt at these buns would have come out better if I had read the note about NOT scooping the flour straight from the flour sack. It said this might turn out too dense or hard. My batch although delicious did not raise well and was somewhat dense, but will definately give it another try, was very easy, Thanks, Sandra

Italian Bread Baked on a Pizza Stone

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
I tried this twice and love the flavor and crust. However when I went to place the loafs in the oven (both times) they fell from the beautiful nice rise they were just the minute before I moved them. Can anyone tell me why and how to prevent this next time. I don't dare cut slices on top after they raise either as it was like deflating a balloon when I tried to cut a slit on top. Otherwise delicious !!!!! Thanks
