Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
Great, great, great! Nice recipe, I also kept the oil slightly cooler so they would not colour as quick, and found myself also needing to put extra flour into the dough recipe. I dipped 1/3 of the cooked doughnuts in the Glaze.1/3 I placed in a plastic bag filled with Caster sugar and Cinnamon and coated them, and 1/3 I dusted with Icing sugar and piped (filled them) with sweetened cream. Amazing! Try this recipe out!

Baked Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I enjoyed this recipe! Very nice, yet I also added a Tablespoon of butter to add gloss and density. I also changed the milk quantity by adding 1 cup of milk only and 1 cup of cream. I also chopped up 2 Bananas and added them and reduced the cooking time by 30 in the oven. I seved it straight away with whipped cream and a scoop of caramel ice-cream. Very very nice!

Palmiers

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2007
This is a very simple recipe, I added to the sugar 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom Powder, 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon, 1/2 Teaspoon ground Cloves and 1 teaspoon of Powdered Ginger for a much more fragrant Palmier, and I also brushed the pastry very lightly with clarified butter.

Black Olive and Rosemary Focaccia

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2007
A very nice recipe...I too had not needed to change a single thing in this recipe, very fragrant tasty bread!! I served a bit to my husband straight from the oven with some fresh butter and his eyes instantly rolled back into his head, he loved it...made my house smell fabulous! With the rest I cut it up into large squares and wrapped them in plastic and stored them in the fridge over night as they where needed for a lunch the next day....the foccaccia was still great (although much better straight from the oven) Nice recipe!!!!

Chocolate Peppermint Candies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
These turned out just fine....like any typical Pepermint Pattie recipe they are a bit tricky and messy, yet these turned out very tasty, I disguised my rather messy chocolate coating by decorating them with white chocolate lines afer the milk chocolate had set....

Chocolate Meringue Pie

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
This turned out well, except I personally would have preferred the taste of smooth rich chocolate opposed to the taste of the cocoa powder in this recipe. Despite that, this was a good dish. Although I decided to make my own Short pastry and made the pies into miniature individual sizes rather than one large pie. Turned out good. Thanks.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake I

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
This cake turned out very good, nice and moist and full of flavour. I cut it in half and filled it with Apricot flavoured Buttercream then covered it with rolled Fondant I turned blue and applyed edible lustre to add shimmer. I topped it with a teddy I made using Marzipan. The cake held up well for a few days especially since it was coated in Fondant. Thanks.

Pepperoni Burgers

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
Great! The pepperoni added a real nice kick to this burger, nice and simple to make. To mince down my pepperoni I actually used my grater which worked well. Thanks.
