Banana Bread I

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
My kids loved this bread,,,it was completely gone the next day. I wound up getting 4 mini loaves out of it, made 2 plain and made 2 with semi-sweet chocolate chips and white chocolate chips. Really delicious! I did take the suggestions of adding the baking powder, 1/2 white and brown sugar and vanilla. Had no problems with the bread rising or anything,,,,I am a pretty experienced baker and this was so easy and the results were fantastic! This will be my recipe from now on. Thanks so much!

Irresistible Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
This pecan pie was unbelievable. I added 1/2 cup chocolate chips to it...and vanilla. I didn't add the whole 1 cup of pecans to the top, basically whatever fit into the pie pan. I make pecan pie every Thanksgiving and Christmas,,,this will be my recipe for now on :) Thank you!!

Waffles I

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2005
This came out great,,my only problem is the baking soda taste?? I have no idea why it is so strong,,,but otherwise,,my kids ate these up and had some left over, which turned out great the next day toasted...thanks for this recipe!!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2004
Awesome!!!! I actually messed up with the recipe by adding the baking powder in with the dry ingredients instead of mixing it in with the sour cream..plus I used 3 c flour and 1 c whole wheat flower..it still came out wonderful! I took the advice of others by softening the butter and adding cinnamon sugar...we ate them right out of the oven with some butter and homemade strawberry jam,,,absolutely wonderful! Thanks for this recipe, I'll be making it alot!

Scones

great recipe, very easy and quick. I added brown sugar and cinnamon to one batch, and raisins and cinnamon to another batch, needless to say--both batches were gone by the end of the day. Thanks so much!!

Best Ever Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2004
This was good,,,I liked the easiness of the recipe. I added apples, cinnamon and vanilla. My on problem was that the muffin stuck to the bottom of the paper liner....I don't know why. But, nonetheless. the muffins were great,,,spread some butter on them from right out of the oven,,,yum!!! My 7 1/2 month old daughter loved gumming them LOL

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2002
This recipe was unbelievable!! I usually make a good meatloaf, but to quote my 6 year old "this is so delicious!" I did alter the recipe somewhat,,,I used 1/2 grounded pork,,,added 2 cloves of garlic, and around 2 teaspoons worshcester sauce. I also used a mini loaf stone pan (from Pampered Chef), and baked it at 350 for about 45 minutes. It came out perfect,,,,and even better- I have one more mini loaf in the freezer! Thank you for this great recipe!!!! :)

Beth's Tex Mex Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2002
This dip went really well.....just a couple of things I might change for next time,,,,I used jalepeno's instead of the green chili's...that was good....I did add mayo and some parmesan cheese, but maybe next time would use chedder plus monterey jack?? Plus I used one package of regular taco seasoning, and one of the hot seasoning,,,the hot one was too hot for me,,but everyone else liked it...I think next time I will just use the regular seasoning and add tabasco sauce...but all in all,,everyone said it was really addicting and delicious!! I liked that it was so easy- and would probably taste better sitting over night!! Thanks for this recipe!!

Chicago Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2002
I made this for a couple of gatherings now and everyone loves it. It definately tastes better than using the packaged dry mix and just adding spinach to that. I started to add about 1 tsp of ground red chili peppers,,which definitely adds a kick to it. I get rave reviews everytime I make it. I usually make my own bread bowl and then add some crackers to it. Thanks so much for this recipe!!

Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2001
This was so easy- I made this for a birthday party and everyone loved it- even the kids. My kids loved it, which they are becoming very picky about certain foods. I like the fact that it was somewhat different than the "usual party " food and was fairly easy to make!!
