Meat Loaf Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
I made a few adjustments to this recipe. I pre-baked the pis hell for about 15 minutes before adding the rest of the ingredients. I also put the meat on bottom then added the corn. The meat and potatoes smelled rather bland so I added 2 more tbsp of ketchup, tsp of minced garlic, red pepper flakes, italiam seasoning, & garlic powder to taste. It came out amazing!! The only thing I'd change is I'd add more cheese to the middle of the pie instead of just having it on top of the mashed potatoes.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
I used this as a great base recipe. I used a 6lb pot roast, a can of mushroom soup, a can of celery soup and used beef broth in place of water. I added rosemary, sage, garlic, salt & pepper to taste. After cooking for half the time, I added in carrots, potatoes, celery and onions. It was delicious!!!

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
This is a really good recipe. I only gave it 4 stars though as it was rather bland. I made as directed minus the egg yolk and then added 2 cloves of garlic (minced), a half tsp of parsley, oregano, basil and thyme. (each) My suggestion is add the herbs/spices you like and taste test the sauce before you simmer for the 3-5 minutes. The additions I made to recipe made it a 5 star in my family and we will be using this as our staple recipe for fettachine.

Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
I followed the recipe and these cookies turned out amazing!! Though not as soft as one might suspect. That's ok for me though because I enjoy crisper cookies. This will definetly be made again!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
I must have done this wrong somehow.....the taste of the cookies were very bland and cakey. After the first batch came out like that, I changed up the recipe DRASTICALLY. I took the rest of the batter and added more of the ingredients(minus the flour) and added peanut butter chips and rolled oats. Those cookies were AWESOME. So I am only giving this a 3 star. However, I will try the recipe again and see if maybe I made a mistake with the first run with this recipe.

Beef Tips and Noodles

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
I followed Dee Dee's advice and made this in a slow cooker. After about 5 hours of cooking it was an amazing dinner. I added ALOT of garlic(we are garlic fiends!) and served it with homemade dinner rolls. Very easy and delicious recipe.

Uglies

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
LOVE THESE!!!!! My family agreed that this was a wonderful, tasty recipe.....and the name fits perfectly. The only changes I made to the base recipe was using cresent rolls dough and making the "uglies" a little bigger/thicker. I didn't even need to use muffin cups and they held together in the muffin pan just fine. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star is due to the fact they are very ugly. :)

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2008
I made this recipe exact, however I decided to change up the last few dozen. I bake some with oatmeal, others with peanut butter chips mixed in. The reason I did this was to add texture and some more flavor to the basic cookie dough. So far so good. The last batch just came out of the oven and I have sampled every different type. I personally like the ones I added peanut butter chips to. They are DELIOUS! Overall I would give this recipe a 4 star, simply because it was nothing over the top spectacular. Just a very good basic recipe.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2008
AMAZING FLAVOR!!! I even took some over to the neighbors and they requested more. I followed the recipe exactly and made the cookies a little smaller then suggested. The only complaint I recieved was from my dad, who stated the cookies had a weird after-taste. We all agree that it was just his tastebuds since no one else tasted anything other than a moist and scrumptious cookie! :)

Peanut Butter Hot Dogs

I made this for the kids one hot spring afternoon. They were leary of the name...ha ha ha...but were pleasantly surprised at how good these were! It was very quick and easy to make; meanwhile fairly healthy. I used ALL organic ingredients and whole wheat gluten free bread. Delicious!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2008
VERY DELICIOUS RECIPE!!! My kids loved the smell and taste of the stew. My husband couldn't eat enough! I followed the recipe exactly, but added garlic salt and a tad more beef broth. The cube meat was very, very tender and fell apart in our mouths. I will be making this a regular dish in our home!

Best Fried Green Tomatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2008
These were phenominal!!!! I followed the recipe for the most part, I omitted cornmeal(I didn't have any)and replaced it with italian bread crumbs. I also added a pinch of cumin and a dash of garlic salt to the breaded coating. I will be making these again, my family enjoyed them and were upset that I hadn't made more! :)

Wine Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2008
We did not like this one bit.I am not sure if it was the recipe or my taste buds. It was very heavy and seemed to overwhelm the chicken itself. I will not be making this one again.

Chocolate Fudge Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2008
These are a really easy, good tasting recipe. The kids did all the work, although I needed to roll them and place them on the cookie sheet.(the dough ws really greasy) They came out pretty well, I made half of them as directed and the other half rolled in powdered sugar. Both batches were really moist and tasted great!

Easy Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
I made this for Easter dinner. It was pretty good, not the best I have ever had. I personally think it was the ham itself and not this recipe. My husband and kids LOVED it though. I put it in the crockpot with all the ingredients and soaked it overnight in the fridge.I omitted all the whole cloves and added an extra tsp of ground cloves instead. I also inserted a cinnamon stick into the center of the ham to keep a slight barrier between the top of the crock and the meat. (My ham was floating from the apple cider) Hubby doesn't like orange peel so that was also left out. Overall I'd make this again, however I will add more brown sugar and less maple syrup.

Garlic Green Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
I used fresh organic beans and cooked accordingly. I highly recommend using fresh veggies since they seem to retain their crisp texture better than frozen or canned. The cheese was a nice touch to a very healthy, tasty side dish!

Pasta e Olio

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2008
AMAZING recipe!! My husband and I enjoyed this dish. It was easy to cook with the time crunch I was in and the spices gave it the "kick" I like in sauces. DON'T change a thing!! It's very good and if you use the right pasta, it's healthy as well.
