Best Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
First time I made Brownies without a store bought box. They were tasty and very easy to make. Next time I will make double, but use same size pan, for a thicker treat.

Everything in the Fridge Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2014
Delicious and versatile. I did add a splash of worcestershire sauce to deepen the flavor and seasoned with a little salt. It was so quick and easy that I doubt I will ever bother with bought sauces again. I have lots of ideas to build on this recipe such as wine and cream for a special occasion or to thicken it up a little for pizza topping. Kids gave it the thumbs up (although one picked out the olives...) which is always a huge victory for me! Thank you for sharing!

Roasted Chickpeas

Reviewed: May 22, 2013
Very tasty and healthy! They were a little soft, so I will try other reviewers suggestions and cut back on the oil after dry roasting initially.

Amazing 'Pizza' Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 20, 2013
Used chicken instead of Pork - this was the first time EVER that my kids came back for more chicken! So, yes, this really is amazing and will be a regular! I did spread a little pizza sauce over the chicken, before topping with the recipe ingredients, just to keep the chicken moist and I cooked it in the oven, rather than the grill....used thin breasts and it was cooked as quick as a stone baked pizza.

Best Stovetop BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2013
Very tasty - I used boneless ribs and I had to double the sauce to cover them and cooked on simmer for about 4.5 hours (I think it took so long because it was all meat). The result was fall apart tender! Next time I will make a bigger batch and possibly use slow cooker. Very versatile - can change flavor just by changing the type of steak sauce used. Very easy - first time I have made my own rib sauce and was surprised at how quick it was to do. Will definitely serve guests with this one - thanks for sharing!

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2012
Unbelievable taste and so easy! Served to guests and we all loved it. Easy to posh up with side dishes for a dinner party or make it a casual week night meal. I used Agave instead of honey as a personal preference. Leftover piece was delicious cold, broken up and tossed in a salad! Thank you for sharing!!

Semi-Indulgent Easy Brown Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2012
A good basic, but not sure what was semi-indulgent about it. Needed a lot more flavor and I wish I'd followed my instincts and added more herbs and lemon.

Tex-Mex Burger with Cajun Mayo

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
Very tasty - I forgot to buy jalapeno the first time I made these, so used banana peppers instead and have stuck with that recipe change ever since!

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
My daughter loves to make these - I love to eat them, but cleaning up the kitchen when she's finished.... Oh, and we also cover half in flaked coconut. The biggest problem is that one is never enough....

Spicy Shrimp Skewers

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
Also used Cajun and only marinaded for 1 hour. Didn't have honey so used agave nectar instead. Spicy with hint of sweetness. Did not overpower shrimp. An all round success!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
AMAZING, EASY - and now the only way I cook my brussels! I also added chopped white onion, sesame seeds and black pepper. I mix it up the day before and leave in the fridge just for convenience. Occasionally I add chopped bacon (which I cook separately in the microwave, and stir in 5 mins before end of cooking time).

Southern Coleslaw

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
I was worried about it being too tart, so added extra tomatoes and dried cranberries. My guests loved it. For me, it tasted better the next day when I added a little fresh coriander.

Italian Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
So easy but gives excellent results - tender meat with a light flavor that the kids enjoyed as much as the adults.
