Charred Eggplant Raita

The recipe I follow is very similar to this one, I just add half a bunch of finely chopped cilantro (stems and leaves) and lemon juice to taste. I also take one small onion fry it golden brown and add 2 tsp cumin seeds and let the smell of the cumin come out. I dump it all in the raita quick stir and put it in the fridge to let the flavors meld. This is a very popular dish at my moms house and even my in laws have complimented me on it. It's so easy and can be made in advance.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

These were great the kids both old and young loved them. I did add some cinnamon and vanilla essence to them. Made extra so they can be breakfast for the week.

T's Sweet Potato Fries

I made these as stated and my nephew and I loved them, but his sister and my husband did not. The next time I made these I did salt and pepper for the kids and salt pepper and red pepper flakes for the adults that went over better. All in all they are a nice change from the regular potatoes.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

I have made this recipe too many times to count. They are a hit with everyone young and old. The only changes I made was to add butter for the margarine and shorting, vanilla essence, whold bunch of chocolate chips and xtra oats (old fashion variety- I feel they hold the cookie togethere better).

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

I followed the suggestions of other people about the extra flour and Pb. Also added some chocolate chips, these were so good, got so many compliments and requests for more. Have made these about 5 times in a month!!

Fluffy Pancakes

These were great. Oh so yummy. I added about 1/4 cup extra milk because the batter was super thick. I cooked them in butter in a cast iron pan. These were so good.

I have also tried this making this in a slow cooker and it worked by decreasing the water some and cooking it for a bit longer. Turns out great and so easy to make

Three bean salad

I really like this dish, its really colorful and simple to make. I can make it in advance and keep it chilled in the fridge a day before I have to serve it and it taste so good.

This was great, my husband (the picky one) really enjoyed this with rice, daal and raita (yogurt sauce) so it made for a good meal for vegetarian monday. I did change some things, I used frozen chopped spinach and frozen chopped mustard green because thats all I had on had and it still tasted and cooked really well. I didn't seed the chile pepper just added it seeds and all to give it some heat. Garnished with chopped tomatoes and red chillies to make color pop.

Cinnamon Belgian Waffles

These were great!!! I did not separate the egg yolks from the whites just mixed the wet ingredients and the dry ingredients separately then added them together. I did up the cinnamon to 1-1.5 tsp.

Oatmeal Chip Cookies

I was really craving some chocolate chip cookies but wanted to try something different, so I made these instead. OMG they were soo good. I could not stop eating them. I also added a handful of dried cranberries and that added a nice zip to them. Would def. make them again to give out if I can keep myself from eating them all : )

Besan (Gram Flour) Halwa

This is great. I followed the recipe as written and it was easy to make. Didn't bother to cut it up in diamonds just put the whole thing in a bowl and decorated it with almonds and pistachios roughly chopped up in a coffee grinder. Got many compliments.

Pakistani Potato Chicken

As a guide this is a great recipe. I did make some changes recommended in the other reviews. I did double up on the spices and yogurt. I first cooked the garlic and ginger for about 5 minutes, then added the chicken saute that for 5 minutes then added the salt, red pepper powder and cumin. Cooked that for about 5 minutes then added the red bell pepper and potatoes. For looks, I fried the potatoes to give them some color. Mixed everything together for 5 minutes then added the yogurt. Mixed that and some water and cooked till everything was done. Sprinkle some chopped cilantro and green pepper (for some more heat). I will make this again.

Juiciest Hamburgers Ever

This was a great recipe. I made mine in the George Forman grill and it came out juicy and delish. I did change some things. I added liquid smoke and I used the bread soak in milk and crumble method in place of the evap. milk and bread crumbs. Will def. make this again. : )

Spicy Pakistani Zucchini

This recipe is great, it got the thumbs up from my husband who is a picky eater. I used the ingrediants listed, but I changed the method to suit myself. I did saute the onions, then I dropped in garlic paste in place of the garlic powder (I didn't have any powder) saute the garlic. I then added in the zucchini stirred that a bit. I then added the rest of the spices and cooked that for a bit, then I added in the tomatoes cooked that for a bit, then added the water then the yogurt, cooked everything for about 5 minutes and then served with chopped cilantro. I will def. make this again and maybe even change the vegi. out for another one.

Pakistani Meatballs with Gravy (Koftay)

This is pretty close to what I make at home for myself and my hubby, though the method is different. What I do is I grind the onion till it is pureed. I then add half the onion (squeeze out all the water) to the ground beef, with about 2 tsp chopped cilantro and 1 tbsp gram flour with all the spices. I fried the onion till golden brown, add the spices fried them. Then i whipped the yogurt and added it to the onion mixture 1 tbsp, then stir, 1 tbsp then stir, until all the yogurt was incorporated. Cooked it for 10 minutes added 2 cups water, let the mixture boil for 15 minutes and added the meat balls and lower the heat to low covered and let it cook in the gravy for 35 minutes. When done, decorated with chopped cilantro

I love this recipe, it is so good and easy. I made this and could not stop eating it hot or cold. I made mine with brown sugar and salt. Will be making this again, maybe on movie night.
