Hamburger Mac Skillet

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2011
This was really easy to make, and pretty delicious. As were others, I was looking for something close to Hamburger Helper, which this is not. But it is a lot more healthy and quite tasty. I also made the recommended additions of cumin, as well as substituting tomato sauce for juice. I also added 1/2 cup of sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese to make it closer to the cheese-mac that we love. Thanks for the sharing, this is something that my wife has requested we repeat, so kudos for the recipe.

Delicious Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
This was o.k., and was certainly very moist. It turned out just as it should have, but there just wasn't a whole lot there to rate. I guess I expected more flavor or maybe a taste that surprised me, but in the end it tasted like baked chicken with garlic powder on it. Maybe I should try grilling it, that be something.

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
This was a very easy recipie to make, but I thought it was kind of bland, and far too much of a milky taste for me. Not a bad recipie, definately something to build on at least. Maybe the next time I'll add some spice to it. Thanks for sharing!

Always A Winner Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
This turned out awesome! I wasn't so sure of it in the beginning, it seemed like a lot of ingredients for it to turn out well, but I was astonished by the taste. I had to change a little for personal taste and circumstances: I didn't have lime so I used a small lemon, plus I omitted the cinammon because it just didn't sound good. My wife and 2 year old don't stand for spicy, so I also omitted the red pepper flakes and cayenne pepper (much to my dismay). Still left with a truly tasty and quick marinade. The cumin makes a difference! Thanks for sharing!

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
the easiest and best recipie I have found for banana nut bread. I can't tell how many times I've passed this recipie on now. The only changes I made is mixing the drys together and the wets together, but thats just baking sense and not really a change. I highly recommend trying this recipie.

Bacon Ranch Pea Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
This didn't turn out as tasty as I wanted. I'm a ranch dressing lover, but this overpowered all other tastes. I'm thinking this might be better with just plain mayo. I'll keep looking for that tasty cold pea salad recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Baby Carrots with Dill Butter

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
A classic and easy to make recipe. Doesn't mask the flavor of the carrots.

Bacon Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
Pretty good recipe. Overall I thought there was too much grease, but that could have been the type of bacon I used. It was alright, not one I'm going to make again anytime soon, but certainly not bad.

Steak N Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
Really, a fantastic recipe. I made this last night, useing pounded out cube steaks, and they turned out fantastic. I had to make my own gravy, which was defiantely a plus, and I didn't add the mushrooms- mainly because it didn't feel like a mushroom night. Anyone looking for a recipe for smothered steak, this is one to try.

Deep Fried Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
First time I made these we didn't like the batter- too mushy. So the next time we dipped the mushrooms in beat egg and the rolled them in italian breadcrumbs (already has garlic and spices added in). They turned out wonderful- crunchy and tasty. Dipped in Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing.

Nikki's Steak Saltimbocca

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
This recipe sounded easy to prepare, but actually takes more than it sounds. All in all, I thought the steak was bland but then I had to substitute many ingredients so it could be my fault. I used dried sage instead of fresh, and top sirloin instead of skirt. However, the cheese didn't add any flavor what so ever, as well as the prosciutto. I may try again, this time with some thinner cuts which cook faster- hence retain more flavor.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
This tasted good, but I couldn't overcome the bland taste. The wine and soup mixture was nice, I was happy with how they came together. But in the end it only tasted like cream of mushroom soup over fried porkchops.

Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
I've been checking the internet for years, looking for a good Alfredo sauce to make for my wife. This has been the best. I did make some changes, though. I didn't use quite so much garlicand I used full cream instead of half and half (not available in Spain). As with all pasta dishes, the pasta is what makes or breaks it. I used fresh taglietelle because anything larger would have overpowered the sauce. And of course, I add mushrooms because mushrooms go great with just about all pasta :) Have made several times now and will definately make again. Thanks for the recipe.
