Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2014
Thank-you so much for sharing this delicious, simple and quick truffle recipe. I promised my 7yr old we would make truffles today and I was dreading it all morning, I was delighted to find an all recipes video based on this recipe. We decided to take the advice from numerous others and re-dipped the truffles in the extra melted chocolate which was left over after we measured three cups. I do have some advice, my truffles were very large and way too rich for what I enjoy but, my daughter made small ones formed with her tiny hands and they were the perfect portion size for the extreme sweet

Delicious on a cold winter evening, Fresh Bakery bread and butter are a must! Make sure you cube the potatoes and don't let them over-cook

Awesome Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2014
This recipe relies heavily on the type of Italian dressing you select. I make my own oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar. I make my dressing ahead of time and add until the salad is coated to my desired consistency.

pro's - quick, easy to make, smooth consistency con's - lacks that homemade granular texture we all complain about but reminds of us yesteryear!

Vienna Schnitzel

very good, basic traditional starter recipe. Very light, all members of the family enjoyed it. For those people out there that like a heavier flavor to their meat, you can season the the crumbs with a bit of paprika and seasoning salt. Keep in mind though, once you start making additions to the recipe, you will loose the authentic original taste of the dish.

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
This is the easiest, quickest cookie I have ever made!! I have to admit though, I ended up sprinkling a bit of icing sugar on the tops as the dough wasn't quite as sweet as my kids like. I also added some chopped walnuts to the jam. Turned out great, all the ingredients were on hand which makes this recipe a five star in my eyes.

Five stars for texture and eye-appeal. Three stars for taste. It needs vanilla or something to tone down the icing sugar flavor

Mexican Bean Salad

I love this recipe for adults but, my kids are picky about seasoning as they are still young. This time I added chick peas but omited the cumin, hot pepper sauce and chili powder. The kids loved it!!

Buffalo Chicken Wing Sauce

yes, it is delicious but, I think it would still be good with only 1/4 cup of butter. I agree it needs to be in there though

Guluptsie (Cabbage Rolls)

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2012
keep in mind that this recipe yields 60 rolls!! When I'm making them for a small group, I usually half the recipe. The only thing I ever change in this recipe is the meat mix - I use ground pork and ground beef. I also serve mine with sour cream on the side. The kids love it!

Very quick and easy but, make sure you add enough batter to the muffin pans or they will not rise enough

I like a smooth consistency so I did not add the tomotoes. I blended everything really well as I do not like chunky guacamole. It is quite good

These are so delicious. I didn't have raisons so I decided to use Apricot jam in the nut mixture. They turned out great. I'm not sure if this was a major faux pas but it worked for me and I am making more tomorrow for our BIG family party.

Diced FRESH carrots, instead of going to the trouble of cooking them on their own and mashing. I also make a dark gravy on the side to add on top of the individual servings. This recipe and flavor are delicious

Excellent chili!! I serve this Chili in a carved out fresh bakery bun. I don't do the pasta part. I also use strained tomato puree instead of a can of tomato juice.

Eggplant Parmesan II

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
This is very good but I have to admit I actually fry the coated eggplant in oil first and then proceed with this recipe. I only use homemade sauce as well as the premade jar sauce is just not the same. I also use a tons of mozz. too.... and yes it is rich but worth it and even tastes better the next day!

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
Since I can't edit my first review, I will review it again. Okay, I loved the recipe the first few times, I didn't have a problem with it being soggy as I used stale white bakery buns. I also pre made some cooked white rice and as the day went on I added this to the stuffing. In the end the consistence of the stuffing was perfect as I was able to control how many ingredients I added. At one point, I decided to fry up some bacon bits and added that. The end result was delicious! I do not believe this is a recipe that you throw in the crock pot and ignor, I think it needs tweeking along the way.
