To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2014
Love this recipe! Thanks for sharing! My Mother-in-law and four year old son picked some wild blueberries and, of course, muffins were requested. I tried this recipe and it is fabulous! My son even helped to make them. ?? I halved the topping recipe but added a few tablespoons of quick oats to the mixture for a little crunch. Otherwise, I didn't change anything. I baked for 20 minutes at 400 degrees and they were perfect! These muffins really are to die for! I have a feeling that I will be making more of these tomorrow because these won't last long. Thank goodness they picked a lot of blueberries!

Quinoa Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2014
These cookies are awesome! My boys (both under the age of 4) loved them and kept saying "Mmmmm, mmmm" the whole time they were eating them. I didn't change anything, but I did mix the wet and dry ingredients separately before combining the whole thing. I had some leftover quinoa that was already cooked, and I read online that quinoa quadruples when cooked, so I added 1 & 1/3 cups of it. I also cooked and mashed my own apple for the applesauce, and used whole wheat flour. As other reviewers had indicated, I also got 36 nicely-sized cookies out of this recipe but I think I could have stretched it to 48. Thank you so much for posting this recipe! It will be a family favorite for sure! I love that it sneaks fiber and protein into dessert without the fat. Next time I am going to cut back on the sugar and see how that works out.

Trail Mix Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2013
This recipe is awesome! I cut back on a few things to make room for other stuff and they turned out great. For example, I substituted some of the rice cereal with oats and Shreddies, some sunflower seeds for poppy and sesame seeds, and raisins for craisins. I pressed the mixture into the pan quite a bit and they stuck together perfectly. The whole family loves them and I will be making a second batch today. Thanks for sharing!

Oven Baked Garlic and Parmesan Fries

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2013
These fries are awesome! I made a combo of yellow, red, and sweet potatoes and the whole family just loved them. It has quickly become a regular side dish in our house. Please note... if you use sweet potato, place them on a separate baking sheet because they tend to cook faster than the regular potatoes. I also added a little garlic powder since I was out of fresh garlic. De-lish!

Best Ever Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
This recipe certainly lives up to its name! Made this last night and it was a huge hit. Even my toddler loved it. The only change I made was to reduce the salt to one teaspoon. It was so moist and delicious! I served it with rice and made some extra sauce. My husband was looking for leftovers today but there were none! Yummy!

Good recipe but I will definitely try omitting the shortening and using all butter next time to see the difference. Thanks for posting!

Chunky Monkey Pancakes

Our family loved these! I was looking for something different than the traditional blueberry and these were a hit! I was thinking that they might be good with a little peanut butter melted and drizzled over top but haven't tried that yet. :)

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
Awesome! Even my toddler loved this recipe! The only thing I didn't do was pour the remaining butter over the chicken. I thought there would be enough grease coming out of the cheese and I was right. I cut the recipe in half and it worked perfectly. Thanks for posting this! Yummm!

Maple-Curry Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
We love this dish and make it all the time! I usually add a little extra maple syrup (about 1/3 cup). I use mild tandori curry paste which gives it a little different taste and makes it less spicy. Soooo good!
