Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: May 18, 2014
This is a great recipe! The cinnamon rolls were delicious, and I mean were because they are practically gone! I followed the recipe exactly and then added some icing (powdered sugar and a few teaspoons of water mix). Yummy! They rise up to a nice size and bake at that size, no shrinkage. My Hubby had three in one sitting! Delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Tea Cookies I

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2010
This was my first time making these cookies. I made these for a luncheon. I followed the recipe but rather than putting walnuts, I added pecans. I did not change anything else. The cookies turned out great!! Everybody loved them and they are a very nice compliment to any kind of tea. The dough itself will not be very sweet, but once you add the powdered sugar ( double dipped) that's what really brings out the flavor of the dough. This weekend for some friends I am baking another batch. A very tasty tea cookie!

Apricot Tea Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2010
This was my first time making this cookie for a tea luncheon. I followed the recipe exactly and they came out delicious. The filling is tangy, tart and sweet. The added orange juice gives it a very tangy flavor. When they are ready they will not be brown, but light and the bottoms may be a bit brown, do watch them carefully. But as they cool they get crisp. Also I added the drizzle of icing. They were a hit! Everyone loved them. I am making another batch this weekend!

Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2010
This was my first time making lemon sugar cookies, for a tea luncheon. I followed the recipe exactly. The cookies came out perfect. Crisp and brown around edges and bottom, but chewy and very flavorful in the inside. A very delicious cookie. I am making them again this weekend!

Penne Pasta with Spinach and Bacon

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
This is a good and very easy to make dish. All of the ingredients complimented one another very well. After following the recipe, in the end I added just a touch of cream to the sauce and it was delicious. However even without the cream added the sauce is great!! This is a tasty meal!!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
This is a Great apple pie recipe. I tried others, but I really like this one!! I used the Basic Flaky Pie crust recipe to make for the top and bottom crust. I did take the advice of others who reviewed this and added some cinnamon just a couple of dashes to the apples and I also added some vanilla to the syrup to give it that homemade flavor. I then drizzled a little bit of the syrup mix into the apples; mixed it in with the apples, before I added them to the pie shell. Latticed my top crust and used a spoon to drizzle on the remaining syrup on to the crust(less mess). Make sure to put some foil in the oven because the syrup does spill out, I did but not enough. The apple pie turned out beautifully. My husband loved it!!. We ate it with vanilla ice cream.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
I really liked this recipe. I have made pie crust before from other baking books, but this was the most easy and it Really does come out very Flaky. For the shortening I used Crisco's Butter flavor shortenings that come in the sticks. I like these because there's no mess to measure, you just cut the amount of shortening that you need. I highly recommend this recipe. My apple pie turned out very Yummy!
