Garlic Feta Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
Very good! I used greek yogurt for a thicker consistency and upped the garlic to a little more than 3 cloves and it came out great! Served it as a dip with carrots and crackers at a party, then used the leftovers to top chicken gyros at home. If you like a lot of garlic and feta- you're sure to love this!

Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
I mostly followed this recipe- just upping the cinnamon to about 2 1/2tsp and making a cinnamon-sugar mix in place of maple sugar since I did not have any on hand... very good! I brought them in to work and they got great reviews! It helps to chill the dough before rolling them in the sugar mixture for it to hold its shape.

Whole Wheat Beer Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
So easy and delicious! I changed the proportion of flours to 3 1/4c WW Flour and 3/4c AP Flour and dashed some cinnamon on top- even my dad who's hesitant when it comes to whole wheat breads loved it!

Spiced Butternut Squash Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
Great and creative way to use up extra squash!! I did use 1 cup whole wheat and 1/2 cup AP flour and about 1/4 cup white sugar. Since I had a lot of squash, I had closer to 1 1/4 cups. Went great with my veggie soup, but the true sign of approval came from my picky-eater friend who had 3 of these!

Grandma's Slow Cooker Vegetarian Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
Delish! I made this for my vegetarian friend's birthday and it was a hit with both meat and non-meat eaters! I did sub chili beans for garbanzos since that what I had on hand and altered the herbs more to taste.I let this cook on high for a little over 2 hours and it was perfect! Thanks!

Yogurt Chicken

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
Great family-friendly recipe! I didn't have any bread crumbs so I crushed flake cereal and it worked just fine. The lemon flavor was great in the chicken (I let it marinate about 6 hours) and I added a bit more garlic, pepper and minced onion for added flavor. Little messy, but it's worth it!

Holiday Gumdrop Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
My grandma used to always make the best gumdrop cookies and these are closest thing I've found to what hers tasted like! I used butter instead of shortening since that's what I had and they turned out great! I recommend refigerating the dough before rolling into balls, it makes it much easier.

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
This was SO tastey! I did follow some of the reviews though, and added 1/2 tsp salt, upped the cin. to 1tsp and used 3 (very) ripe bananas, and subbed 1 whole egg for the egg white. My picky family ate it up so quickly, and definetly could't tell it was low-fat! Thanks!

AWESOME! I followed the suggestions to add a little more oats and baking soda and also chilled the dough before rolling, and they turned out great! I brought them to work and they didn't last long... thanks for the recipe!

Addictive Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
These are great! I slightly modified by using 2c white sugar and 1c brown sugar and they were still very sweet, and also using 2c whole wheat flour, 1c all-purpose, and 1/2 oat bran and they had a nice texture! Does not taste like a bland low-fat food, thanks for the recipe!
