About this Cook
My 'best' recipes are all ones that I've learned from other women in my life. I've spent many afternoons hanging out with elderly and often lonely women in my area and asked then to teach me cook one of their specialties. I've learned SO much from these dear ladies.
My favorite things to cook
Bread!
My cooking triumphs
My modified Grandma Ople Apple pie (modified to Apple Ginger Cranberry) that won a local pie baking contest.
My cooking tragedies
I've made some tragic gravy in my day. I've also baked biscuits that could be used as hockey pucks. Then there was the green bean casserole with the rancid can of fried onions. Disgusting. I'm much more careful to check dates on cans now.

Guacamole
Very good recipe. I zing everything but the avocado in the food processor and put it in the frig. Then I can make a 1,2, or 3 avocado batch of guacamole in about 90 seconds.

Mom's Stuffing Pork Chops
This is a tasty pork chop recipe. My family loves it. I've made a recipe very similar to this for years

Buttermilk Salad
I love this salad! I like that it's tangy and not overly sweet for a jello salad. It molds well too.
