Angel Hair Pasta with Lemon and Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
This is a great recipe!!! It is so simple and fast! I have a 5 yr old and a 15 mnth old and this recipe saved me. It was late and a school night and I had this cooked and ready to eat in 15 min! It always takes me longer to prepare than it says the 1st time I try a recipe. I Used the juice from 1 1/2 lemons, cooked the chicken with a little oil and fresh garlic I also used a little salt and fresh ground pepper makes the world of difference! I tried to use a little less butter but it was a no go you really need it all. I would still add the garlic powder. I also took the advice and added about 2 tblsp of capers it was wonderful! Added a green salad for a side and topped the pasta with packaged italian cheese blend. Definately making this again. It was so good my 5 yr old ate the leftovers for lunch the next day!

Cheddar Broccoli Chicken and Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
This is a fabulous recipe! It is so simple and tastes awesome. I have a very picky 5 yr old and a 15 month old and they both cleaned thier plateand husband had 2nds! The only things I changed were to cut up the chicken because I only had 2 full sized and 2 thin fillets so to feed 4 people I cut them up in pretty good sized pieces to make it go farther. Added half a boiler onion to chicken and oil in pan sauteed togerther w some salt and pepper cooked till done on outside, here's what I reccommend don't do that maybe cook it a little bit just to get it going then add all your other ingredients your chicken will be much more flavorfull! I only put about a 1/2c milk and probably about 1 1/2c maybe 2c of shredded cheese and served over white rice( I didn't want to peel potatos) but next time am going to definately use the potatos I can tell it'll be fab! Thanks for a great simple and fast recipe!

Sweet Russian Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2009
Great recipie! I was going to make my mom's cabbage soup but wanted to jazz it up some so I looked and this seemed perfect. I looked at the reviews and took sum suggestions I added what was a total of 7 (yes seven) boullion cubes (I like my food flavorful!!) used green onion instead reduced brown sugar to little less than 1/4c and 1/4c of white vinegar maybe next time will only use the 2 tblsp. also used very small amount of the salt (because of the 7 boullion cubes)I also left out the tomato sauce due to my husbands diet. overall really good served with warm buttery sourdough bread.

King Ranch Chicken Casserole III

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
It was really good! My husband gave it a 10! I followed the other suggestions and softned the tortillas in the chicken broth but I wont do that again I personally prefer them firmer than they were. I added more cheese. cooked the chicken on the stove top w salt n pepper n some garlic powder. I also added 1tsp. already diced garlic that u buy in a jar to the onion n bellpepper sauteed all 2gether (just the veggies that is) I would layer everything it it just tastes better. I did add about 1/2 cup of the chicken broth to the mix thats all u need cause it makes it much easier to pour n spread the mix over the other ingredients.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2008
This recipe is really really good! Everyone I have made it for has absolutely loved it! I would cut down on the cook time to about 15 min. to prevent the chicken from being over done. I also like to add a little more lime but that's a personal taste. I will try adding the fresh cilantro next time as I love the taste of it.

Hearty Beef Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
The first time I made this stew it was exactly what I was looking for. I took the advice and added 1tbsp worchestershire sauce an extra 1/2c beef broth reduced the paprika to 1/4tsp and about 2tbsp of lipton's onion soup mix a 1/4 tsp both of salt & pepper I added a bay leaf and added about 2tbsp corn starch at the end to thicken it up. It was WONDERFUL husband loved it definitely will make again.-------- It's been 3 years now and this is one of my favorite recipies ever! I've perfected it I still do everything the same just upped the wocersershire sauce to 2 1/2 tblsp and I've always doubled the veggies. It's so important that you layer everything by how long it takes to cook. I put the meat on the bottom then the potatos then the carrots with the mushrooms and celery on top. The slower and longer you cook it the more tender and flavorful everything is. I LOVE this recipe!!!!
