Basic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
I agree with the other, this recipe is not quite right. Here are my changes: 1 stick margarine, 4 cups cookie mix, 1 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/4 cup of shortening, 3 eggs, 1 cup choco chips: then these turned out great! I agree the basic mix does make tings easier.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
Wow this was great! I followed the recipe changes of another reviewer, and this was good, I also cut the powdered sugar to two cups for the frosting. Still great. I took it to a potluck, the few pieces that were left were just as moist and flavorful as when I first served it!

Country Fried Steak and Milk Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
Yum this was fantastic, I love country fried steak, but have never tried to make it! I did season my flour with some garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and meat tenderizer, therefore eliminating the salt in this recipe, as the tenderizer has plenty. Also we used venison cube steaks as we already had them in the freezer. The steaks were tender and flavorful. Beacuse we used vension we did not feel too guilty about frying them. Besure to have your oil nice and hot! Yummmmmm

Easy Baklava

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
This was awesome, I used walnuts and almonds for the nuts, and used pumpkin pie spice and lots of extra cinnamon for the spices. I served it at a dinner party and there was only one piece left! Also since I was pinched for time, I poured the syrup on right after it came out of the oven, and it was just fine. YUMMMM

Fisherman's Quick Fish

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
This was good, I did make a few changes. I used a combination of balsamic basil and Ken's greek dressing for marinating. My son had 4 helping and had the leftovers for lunch the next day. My husband who is really picky about fish loved it too.

Colorful Kielbasa

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
I was unsure how these flavors were going to mix, but they did. I precooked rice and then added onion and garlic and the rest of the ingredients and then sprinkled cheese over the top and baked until bubbly, around 30 min. My husband and son ate it and liked it, but it was not the best thing we have ever eaten, works in a pinch..

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
Tis was really good, but I made a casserole instead on the enchaladas, by layering the tortillas after heating them, and putting a fair amount of ingredients on each layer. I also added cooked and drained spinach to the mixture, added lots of onion and garlic. It was a big hit with my husband and 4-yr old.
